In the past year, it has not only been the Arsenal squad who have had an influential new addition to the ranks, in the form of Mesut Özil.

Like a new signing

Arsenal fans were delighted to announce the signing of an individual who would, in such a short space of time, become the motivational and reasonable representative of the faithful supporters.

Meet Robbie Lyle. Born in North West London, Robbie started Arsenal Fan TV midway through the 2012/2013 season, using the platform as an opportunity to give the loyal Gooners a voice on everything to do with the club.

With over 19 million views at the time of writing, the online channel continues to go leaps and bounds, with a website, twitter page and clothing brand all now fully developed.

It's all about making sure the fans have their say, but it's main host and interviewer Robbie who has come out of this project as the main star of the show.

The Modern Day

Before this platform, fans took to BBC 606, various forums and Twitter in order to pour their hearts out, real concerns over the welfare of their club going under the radar and filtered by the irrelevant.

It only takes 2 minutes and 36 seconds of your time to see exactly how Arsenal Fan TV has changed the scope of sports journalism and video virals in the 2010's.

Passionate fan Chris Hudson took to the channel to vent his anger at the club after their dramatic defeat to Aston Villa on the first day of the season.

Claiming that if the team were to lose the following week, he would expect,

"YOU Wenger and YOU Gazidis to hand your resignations in!"

Calm and Composed

Hudson said it how it was, allowing millions of passionate Gooners around the world to have their opinions on public display.

At the centre of this was Robbie, keeping calm and composed and guiding Hudson through the frustration in order to get the best possible answers and highlight the fans views.

Arsenal Fan TV has gained more and more publicity as the season has gone on, following the highs, the lows, the highs again and as per usual some more lows, in spectacular style.

Selling branded t-shirts to unite the fans on certain issues and topics, while keeping things fresh and exciting with quizzes and match day video cam's to encapsulate a now rejuvenated fan base.

War Cry

But on 10th April, Robbie Lyle showed how he epitomises the Arsenal spirit of 2013/2014. Taking to YouTube, he rallied all the fans together with a video titled:

'FA CUP SEMI-FINAL: CALLING ALL GOONERS!'

Robbie warrior cried that he was,

"calling on every Arsenal fan, every Gooner to get behind Arsenal."

"No negativity, positive thinking."

"I know it's been terrible recently. I was there when we lost to Everton. I was there when we got tonked 6-0 by Chelsea. I was there when Liverpool beat us 5-1. I travelled all the way up there and I was there when we got beaten 6-3, but you know what, come this Saturday, I will be right behind the team!"

"No talk about Arsène Wenger, no talk about this or that, let's get behind the team."

"So the team, show up on Saturday. Fans, show up on Saturday. We will beat Wigan and we will win the cup!"

We will fight till’ the end

Who would've thought it, the fans were fully engrossed in 120 minutes and penalties against a resiliant Wigan side and managed to spur the team on to get to the final.

There are five weeks left until the end of the season and Arsenal have the chance of a top four finish and an FA Cup to show for an improved, yet turbulent season.

Many fans argue over the hypothetical of who should be the one to lift a trophy if we win it.

Arsène Wenger? Mikel Arteta? Thomas Vermaelen? Per Mertesacker?

But maybe someone else should lift it. Someone who has epitomised everything that the Gunners and their fans stand for. That man is Robbie from Arsenal Fan TV...
