Arsène Wenger is set to finally bolster Arsenal’s attacking options with a £32 million bid for Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez.

Extra Hot Chili

Sanchez, 25, moved to Barcelona in 2011 and after 88 appearances and 39 goals in his first three years, his starting place is still far from guaranteed for the Catalan outfit.

With rumours gathering pace that disgraced Liverpool forward Luis Suarez is set to join the Spanish club in a deal worth around £80 million, Barcelona will be looking to offload one of their star players to fund the move.

The world cup is in full swing meaning players are being looked on the biggest stage. Porto star Jackson Martinez is the latest star to be looked at by Wenger who is now in the impressive Colombia side.

According to reports in Portugal, Arsenal have contacted Porto about a deal to bring him to the Emirates.

Arsenal are considering paying release clause of £35 million for the striker who has been highly touted and looked at for a year. Playing his football in Porto, Martinez has a wealth of champion’s league football, although the Portuguese league is not the greatest.

Arsène Wenger is keen to test how high Bayer Leverkusen rate their prized possession Lars Bender, with an imminent bid to shore up his midfield ahead of the new campaign.

If at first you don’t succeed

Bender, 25, is not on international duty with Germany in Brazil after a thigh injury ruled him out the World Cup. This may drive down his valuation in the summer transfer market, much to the delight of the Arsenal boss.

The Gunners reportedly had a bid of £15 million rejected last summer, but after talks fell through, they spent almost triple the sum on Bender’s compatriot, Mesut Özil.

Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger has praised Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal amid claims the Premier League club are ready to make a move for him.

The Juventus maestro is rated as one of the best midfielders in the world and has starred since moving to the Italian club in 2011.

Wenger praises Vidal

The Gunners manager was recently asked what he thought of the 27-year-old and lavished praise on the Chile ace.

Metro quoted Wenger, he said:

With the World Cup at the halfway mark and pre-season looming in the distance, Arsène Wenger is ready to put his media duties to one side in order to find Arsenal two new strikers in time for the 2014/2015 season.

French Connection

It is thought that Wenger is ready to trigger the reported £8 million release clause with QPR, in order to obtain French striker Loic Remy, whom the club have been linked with heavily in the past.

The striker, whose partnership with current Gunner Olivier Giroud on international level has been tried, tested and seen as a potential winning combination, would be a welcome to addition to a side that has only two recognized strikers on their books of present.
