After his summer move to newly promoted Crystal Palace from Arsenal Marouane Chamakh has found himself a regular starting spot in their first 11.

After scoring 5 goals this season the 30 year old is relishing his return to the Emirates this Sunday.

Excited for return

It seems the Moroccan is truly looking forward to returning to his former club’s ground.

He said:

Morning papers believe Arsenal will target the 35-year-old striker if they can’t secure the transfer of Draxler.

A move for Klose would be a short-term deal and would link the experienced German international with the various other Germans at the Emirates.

The Lazio striker is one of a number of names that have been linked with a move to Arsenal, another that was strongly speculated midway through the window was Dimitar Berbatov.

The last 24 hours have been manic and you presume the next eight hours will be just as chaotic as this is when the German transfer window closes.

Julian Draxler’s transfer has been on and off more times than a light switch but a positive is that Arsenal do have staff on stand by in Germany incase a deal can be brokered between the two clubs.

Well respected BBC journalist David Ornstein has stated on his twitter page that Arsenal are not signing Julian Draxler because Arsene Wenger does not want to pay the reported £37 million transfer fee which Schalke demand.

Tweeted just over an hour ago Ornstein said:

“Arsenal not signing Draxler. Was interest but AW unwilling to meet Schalke asking price. Only #afc deal may be a loan arrival.”

Wenger doesn’t want to pay up

The reported fee has been £37 million, although Schalke chiefs did refute those claims early this evening.

While the Draxler saga continues, it seems as though every hour brings a different media outlet reporting a different verdict as to whether or not the deal will be completed, and whether or not it will be done in the current window.

At the moment it is looking unlikely but the time I have finished proof reading this, he could well have signed. If the deal were not to go through, here is a look across Europe over other players that may be available for a similar price range.

Ross Barkley

The Englishman has typified the revolution at Everton under Roberto Martinez. His manager has praised his mentality above all other traits, stating that it is something atypical of young English players.
