Big game, big expectations, Arsenal bottle it. Anything new? Absolutely nothing. It's happened regularly throughout this season, so it was a well anticipated loss.

We were hammered, yet again. Arsene got it wrong with his team selection, again. Giroud and Arteta were horrible, yet again. Recognize a particular pattern?

Don't know why he even bothers to play that lamppost (Giroud) upfront anymore. He's shocking. Before the Everton game, I didn't mind having him in our squad for the upcoming seasons. Not anymore though, he's just an absolute embarrassment to this club.

When I watch a player like Suarez, the way he constantly chases dead balls, always anticipating mistakes. Then I rewatch Giroud.. skips around for a few minutes, then throws his hands in the air and grins. Arteta has always showed talent and determination to a certain extent, even if I believe he can't be in our future plans.

It's a shame that such an outstanding legacy will depend on whether we beat Wigan this weekend, but that's what it comes to. Our Fan Base has never, ever been so split and diverse. It's sad because it's extremely evident that Arsene has always given his all for this club.

However, all kings fall, right?

I would like to think that Wenger might have one last season (next season) to buy players of his likings, and we can go out and challenge on all fronts. Nevertheless, my opinion on if Wenger should stay really will depend on whether we win the FA cup.

I still fully expect us to finish in top four, especially considering Everton’s upcoming fixtures. I guess a season where we've finally won a trophy and secured champions league football isn't so bad.

Not much to say, massive weekend coming up. Overall, sad times for us Gooners.

Wenger is the culprit,he is poor,a technician in failure,no clever manager can lose top spot and get to fifth

Quoting David:
Excuse me, did you just say that Wenger's legacy will depend on whether we beat Wigan in the FA Cup?

Let's forget for a moment the disgraceful lack of faith in a squad who have, let's not forget, beaten Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund away in the last year or so (those games actually took place you know).

Wenger's legacy is unquestionable - the Invincibles, a new Arsenal who play some of the best football any of us have ever, and will ever, see. A fantastic stadium. Class. Seven trophies, possibly more still to come.

Get behind the club. Of course defeats like yesterday's are embarrassing - we're all angry - but the worst thing to do is to turn on the team. This team has shown enough fight and spirit in some of Europe's most difficult venues for us to rule out a lack of mental strength as the cause of our problems. I'm inclined to suggest it is simply a lack of quality without half of our first team - Ozil, Wilshere, Ramsey etc - and that the players know that without them we don't have the pace and ability to trouble the best sides. That's a problem to deal with sure, but how the hell is it Giroud or Arteta's fault?

A most mature view. Spot on. We as a fan base can't seem to do what we are supposed to do, "SUPPORT", but whine and pray to get every other player who they really don't know anything about...

i'm shocked to some fan comments, simple question: why in others elite clubs we get word: sack is it not the same what has happened several times for this Arsenal. Hw can Wenger and those who still defend wrong say that Giroud as a striker must have only one role or way in his contribution in the team. what of if we need in a circomstance a lowly goal to be realised!!! or for the poor Wenger#s tactic is every time his world class midfielders will be coming all the way by passing ball get score??? then a hard side of EPL that knw to bloc, in this case a striker like Giroud, you will not get to the scoresheat, worse

Lets face it Wonga has made lots of silly mistakes which have cost us big time, with this shower playing like a pub team what does he do.....give them new contracts. No he has had enough chances now, it obscene the way he treats the fans with his continual bullsh!t. He has lots the plot and sadly yes he is a specialist in failure.

More reason to buy players in the January transfer window

I truly believe now that Arsenes time is up.i dont want him spending anymore of the clubs cash on potential, cheap, ones for the future. Its been long enough and he is not the man to spend big,he cant do that.itl be another last minute trolly dash after he gets back from Brazil.. Get Klopp in and some German quality and steel!!!

To that 'simple question' the answer is just as simple to me: we have no players that would field in the starting XI of Europe's top teams. Nobody apart the Aaron Ramsey that we saw in the first half in the season and that we all hope to see again very soon. Actually back in autumn I considered Ramsey to be the best midfielder in the world (for energy, drive, tackles, goals, assists and all-round game) and he has much room for improvement.

If we have to replace Arsene. I would prefer to honour him by replacing with an experience coach. Louis van gaal would be perfect. I just don't get it, he clearly see the team is lacking in pace nearly all over the pitch. But he never try to rectify the problem in January by signing a mobile striker. Calling back Joel Campbell would be a good thing. That boy is more ready then sanago. And our injury problem had been as usually like the previous season.

Giroud, Wenger, Diaby, Sanogo - what do they have in common- financially doping Arsenal fans who pay the highest ticket prices to watch their crap. Just sod off across the English Channel you parasites. You are ruining my beloved club!

[quote name="goonerette"]Ex cuse me, how much does it cost for tactical change and analysing our next games opponents? Something that Wenger is too lazy to do.

time is up for Wenger - there is no defense for him with the recent collapses to our chief competition as happened the same time last year. Pedestrian team that has no discipline or fight in them - that comes from the manager - the buck stops with Wenger.

Also need to look at the injury list and question the medical staff. Too many long-term injuries - what is the cost of these players per game they actually play?

Time for revolution not stagnation. The next manager has a lot of cleaning up to do. Great memories Arsene but time is up.

He's definitely not a world class striker. We definitely need to strengthen. No doubt about it. And I believe we will.
+2 #5 Kosta 2014-04-07 19:31
Lone striker you mean Steve :)

Completely agree. Giroud needs others to stretch and add the depth to the attack. He also looks a bit jaded in the physical battles which compounds the problem.

Simple question. Who have we got that any top team in Europe would want?

There goes Steven, just like every other clueless fan, defending Giroud.
Just look at any world class striker and then look at Giroud.
We need to spend this summer, end of story.
We need a world class striker, a world class winger, a world class central defensive midfielder and we need to make sure we have a good alternative for Gibbs and Sagna because Jenkinson has been out of the picture for too long and Monreal is a joke.
We need to reconstruct this team with or without Wenger.

Giroud has got worse since ,walcott,Ozil,Ramsey and Wilshire have got injured he is not a loan striker not what he was bought for.He is better with a decent partner striker, personal problems haven't helped.
