Out-of-favour Arsenal forward and self-proclaimed “best striker in the world”, Nicklas Bendtner has been taking part in intensive training as the season comes to its climax.

Let me take a selfie

Posting a picture of himself in the gym following an eight hour session the Danish international is pushing hard for one last return to the Arsenal squad, as his team face the prospect of finishing outside the top four for the first time in 18 years.

Dodgy Dane

Bendtner, 26, found himself in deep water with the Gunners hierarchy after the striker was reportedly involved in a hostile encounter with a taxi driver in Copenhagen.

Arsène Wenger was adamant that his former prodigy was not given permission for this trip, also reiterating that the enigma, “is at the end of his contract in the summer.”

Never give up

Regardless of the manager’s comments, it is thought that with Bendtner’s determination to get fit and Arsenal’s threadbare forward line, Wenger is ready to give one last chance to the former Juventus loanee.

With Olivier Giroud scoring only once in six games and with six (potentially seven) ‘cup final’ games looming for the Gunners, Bendtner may find himself back in the starting line-up with the responsibility of leading his side to glory.

Nothing to lose

Whilst Nicklas Bendtner’s attitude has been appalling in recent years, his motivation to get fit while Arsenal are going through a late season crisis is clever on his behalf

He may not get a new contract, but by fighting fit and giving Arsène Wenger another option, he may be able to gain the title ‘Great Dane’ yet again, leading Arsenal to FA Cup glory and a top four place yet again.

What a waste of a good player, the trouble with him is he is a legend in his own head.

Arsenal has got no key striker Mr. Wenger. Stop your blah blah blah during press conference. WE ARE TIRED OF YOUR LIES

Bendtner + Giroud = 2 goals in 8 matches AND Suarez + Sturidge = 15 goals in 8 matches.

He has what it takes. He proved it at the Euro Cup.
Hope he gets back on track.
