Today’s news concerns Arsenal and Costa Rica centre forward Joel Campbell.

It was reported this morning that he may be heading out on loan to a premier league club.  Both the Metro and Daily Mail have reported this story.  Campbell is attracting interest from clubs such as West Ham, Everton, Newcastle and Southampton.

It is believed that Wenger is not yet ready to put his faith in Campbell to lead the Arsenal attack. If Campbell was to go on loan then Everton could be a very good deal. The main reason for this being is Martinez puts faith in the young players as well as playing a similar brand of football to Arsenal.

However, this could change as Campbell has the perfect opportunity tonight to show Wenger what he can do as well as when reporting back for pre- season. It was confirmed earlier this week he will get a chance in pre-season by David Ornstein of the BBC.

Joel Campbell will report for pre-season with Arsenal late July / early August & compete for 1st team place #AFC #CRC

In my opinion, Arsenal should keep Campbell for the upcoming season. He has shown enough at this world cup to be given a chance.

Arsenal are in desperate need for strikers which would make me keep him even more. However, Wenger is the best judge when it comes to knowing if the player is ready.

Who to send on loan?

So let me get this right............Yay a Sanogo was ready for the premiership after playing in Ligue 2 yet Campbell who's played in the Champions League with Olympiakos isn't? Plus he's already played in La Liga and Ligue 1. He's shown in the World Cup he's ready for a big club.
Wonga has lost the plot again.

HTF can some people say that Sanogo is better than Campbell, Sanogo only had a small time playing and didn't do very well with that, yet Campbell has been playing some good football.

Why would it be one or the other?! They play in different positions - Campbell would not play central for us in a front three, he'd be back up to Theo. Sanogo is still currently the only backup for Giroud so no way he could go on loan. Still raw he made a big difference in games last season, particularly against Liverpool in the FA Cup not to mention the cup final. Unless we sign a top central striker no way we could afford to loan our only other option through the middle....

Joel Campbell has been at Arsenal for a while now and deserves a chance in the first team.
Sanago is crap and not good enough to wear an Arsenal shirt. When he played last season it was like playing with 10 men. He passes the ball more to the other team than he does his own. He's slow and clumsy, makes Mertesacker look like Usain Bolt and he couldn't score if the ball was on the goal line. He needs to go out on loan permanently if you can find anyone stupid enough to take him.
Joel Campbell got his work permit last year and could of played for us but he was put out on loan and yet Sanogo who only came to Arsenal last year got straight in the first team HOW?

Campbell will be on cup runs only next year at arsenal unless we have injurys or campbell starts smashing in 3 n 4s in cups

If wenger feel that cambel is not ready, then I think it is better to send wenger on loan,hi hi

Definitely Sanogo. He looked far from ready for a regular spot at Arsenal last season. Needs to get 25+ appearances at another club, preferably in England, to improve his game. He has the physical attributes to become a decent squad player, but was clearly not ready to be our main alternative to Giroud.

Joel Campbell has shown far more on loan and at International Level, and in terms of talent, is completely on another level to Sanogo. Important not to expect too much of him next season, as he himself needs improvement in certain areas and his involvement will be more limited than many expect (especially if we clinch the Alexis Sanchez signing) but in a couple of years time, could be a world class forward.

Send Sanogo on loan. Campbell is the best. Another option is to loan out both.
