Today’s news concerns Arsenal and Costa Rica centre forward Joel Campbell.
It was reported this morning that he may be heading out on loan to a premier league club. Both the Metro and Daily Mail have reported this story. Campbell is attracting interest from clubs such as West Ham, Everton, Newcastle and Southampton.
It is believed that Wenger is not yet ready to put his faith in Campbell to lead the Arsenal attack. If Campbell was to go on loan then Everton could be a very good deal. The main reason for this being is Martinez puts faith in the young players as well as playing a similar brand of football to Arsenal.
However, this could change as Campbell has the perfect opportunity tonight to show Wenger what he can do as well as when reporting back for pre- season. It was confirmed earlier this week he will get a chance in pre-season by David Ornstein of the BBC.
“Joel Campbell will report for pre-season with Arsenal late July / early August & compete for 1st team place #AFC #CRC
In my opinion, Arsenal should keep Campbell for the upcoming season. He has shown enough at this world cup to be given a chance.
Arsenal are in desperate need for strikers which would make me keep him even more. However, Wenger is the best judge when it comes to knowing if the player is ready.

During World Cup ,he ll be ready now
Wonga has lost the plot again.
Sanago is crap and not good enough to wear an Arsenal shirt. When he played last season it was like playing with 10 men. He passes the ball more to the other team than he does his own. He's slow and clumsy, makes Mertesacker look like Usain Bolt and he couldn't score if the ball was on the goal line. He needs to go out on loan permanently if you can find anyone stupid enough to take him.
Joel Campbell got his work permit last year and could of played for us but he was put out on loan and yet Sanogo who only came to Arsenal last year got straight in the first team HOW?
Joel Campbell has shown far more on loan and at International Level, and in terms of talent, is completely on another level to Sanogo. Important not to expect too much of him next season, as he himself needs improvement in certain areas and his involvement will be more limited than many expect (especially if we clinch the Alexis Sanchez signing) but in a couple of years time, could be a world class forward.
