The agent of Porto striker Jackson Martinez has revealed that two Serie A clubs are looking at the forward but failed to mention Arsenal among the other clubs interested in his client.

Arsene Wenger has been strongly linked with the Colombian over the past few transfer windows but none more so than this current window.

No interest in Jackson?

Martinez’s agent, Peppino Tirri, told CalcioNews24 that Milan are among the clubs interested in the forward.

“I haven’t had talks with Milan lately over Martinez.

“He is a player who CEO Adriano Galliani really likes, as he confessed publicly. Roma had also thought about a buy.

“His price-tag? It’s what emerged in the papers, above €20m.”

The latest comments from Martinez’s agent suggest Arsenal aren’t interested and it appears Wenger’s recent comments that he won’t be signing any more forward players rings some true.

Arsenal don’t need forward reinforcements

Le Professor was quoted as saying “up front we don’t need any more,” recently and we at Arsenal Latest suggested that Joel Campbell could be afforded a chance.

And the latest from the Costa Rica star suggests that could be the case and that Campbell could finally get his chance to star at the Emirates.

After an excellent World Cup campaign, where he helped his country reach the quarter-finals, he has been enjoying a break in France.

Campbell to fight for his dreams

However, the 22-year-old has hinted that he is back in London and ready to “fight for his dreams.”

Daily Express reported several tweets from Campbell which suggested he had flown back to London to link up with the Arsenal squad ahead of flying out to the United States with the rest of the Gunners squad.

After several seasons away from the club on loan it seems the Costa Rican has earned his chance, let’s now hope he can take it.

I think Wenger is trying to outfox the media. He wants to go after players without the media getting wind of it and othr clubs coming in to compete. There are still weeks left in the tansfer market.
Give him a chance and see what happens. He has done pretty well to date.
