Nobody can accuse Jack Wilshere of lacking a sense of humour after his hilarious gag this afternoon regarding Arsenal team mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

It is Oxlade-Chamberlain’s birthday today, the England international turning the grand old age of 21, and several footballers and fans have taken to the social media sphere to wish the youngster a good day.

Happy Birthday Keiran Gibbs…

Wilshere choose to send his birthday message on Instagram and decided to write “Happy Birthday to my boy Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.”

However, the comedy moments was the England ace posting a picture of Keiran Gibbs, not Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Wilshere, no doubt, was taking the mickey out of Premier League referee Andre Marriner who confused Gibbs and Oxlade-Chamberlain last season.

Andre Marriner won’t be happy

Marriner famously sent off Gibbs after Oxlade-Chamberlain had handed the ball on the line at Stamford Bridge during an embarrassing 6-0 defeat to Chelsea.

The incident caused huge controversy and uproar and if Marriner felt the incident was starting to be forgotten he can thank Wilshere for reminding everyone about the incident again with his post today.

Wilshere’s message received a lot of attention on social media and earned a lot of laughs on both Twitter and Instagram.

You can be certain that Marriner isn’t laughing but at least Wilshere found the perfect opportunity to take the mickey out of his friend and team mate Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The good atmosphere in the Arsenal camp is evident from this post and hopefully this will help the Gunners quest for glory throughout the season.

Arsenal should take Palace for granted. Arsene should not gamble as usual but grab the maximum points
