It is the understanding of Sky Sources that Danny Welbeck is currently undergoing a medical.

The nature of the deal is unknown but the story first come to fruition through James Olley of the Evening Standard.

James Olley tweeted;

“Danny Welbeck is at #afc's training ground. He would prefer joining #afc over #thfc & is trying to force through a deal. Wenger's move now.”

This seems to be reliable and let’s hope Arsenal can get the deal done.

This is not the spectacular signing most Arsenal fans wanted but it is a striker with Premier league experience. Welbeck has pace and is a hard worker which he has shown when playing in the big games for Manchester United. Ferguson often preferred Welbeck in the bigger games for example, Real Madrid away where he scored.

Doubts were cast over Daniel Sturridge before moving to Liverpool and that will be the hope with Welbeck.

A change of club might reignite his career.
