The annoyance of being an Arsenal fan is huge because a variety of factors. In the Arsenal fan camp on twitter, reading all the messages sent out, Arsenal fans are split on the signing of Danny Welbeck with the majority quite underwhelmed with him supposedly joining the Emirates.

4th place finish all over again?

Signings don’t happen in a day. There is a lot of planning that goes into a particular signing. For the money that Arsenal fans pump into the club, the signing of Danny Welbeck is not what Gooners deserve.

And when stated before that transfers don’t happen in one day, Danny Welbeck, most likely, has been on the Arsenal radar for a week at least if not more. This is what the Arsenal board have become content with.

Realistically, settling for 4th is the aim according to them. If it were any different, Arsenal would have built on the amazing signings we made previously with Ozil, Alexis and the rest.

Welbeck the match winner?

The simple fact of football, goals win you games. It’s as simple as that. On paper, it doesn’t seem like Welbeck is a striker that invokes fear into the hearts of oppositions. A lot of sarcastic comments have been thrown around about Welbeck

@LeGrove

You smell that?
It's fear.
Europe's elite just heard Arsenal are taking Welbeck on loan for the season.’

Positives

Most of the Arsenal fans are very quick to judgement and they have a right to be frustrated. It is an underwhelming signing when you see that we were linked to the likes of Cavani and Falcao just a few days ago. But we should always keep in mind the positives that Welbeck brings to our group.

Being only 23 years of age, he still has a while to reach his peak and with Arsene to help him grow, he could turn into a good player. He would add to the growing British core at Arsenal and being a home-grown player always helps.

Also do keep in mind that at Manchester United, He had the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie to compete with. Breaking into that team is near impossible for a young striker and sometimes a move is just what a player needs.

An example of how a move have helped players, we can look to Daniel Sturridge. At Chelsea, he was stuck behind the pecking order of Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres but then he came into his own at Liverpool.

Waiting game

Arsenal fans are quick to judge and rightly so. Waiting 10+ years for the next premier league title has taken a toll on all Gooners.

There is a lot of frustration and anger around the Arsenal fan base but we just have to take it as it comes and hope for the best.

Let’s hope that Welbeck isn’t the only player coming in the door for Arsenal.

ozil should not play from the wing. let him play in the central posision so that he can supply welbeck with killer passes.believe me or not welbeck will score countless goals.

Ferguson screwed up Welbecks chance to make good at Man U by not playing him consistently in his best position. Just like he did with Henry, Wenger will transform Welbeck in to a first class stiker good enogh to sell to Man City.

Wat we needed most was a quality CDM Wellbeck is OK but was not a priority.
Wenger is really destroying our club with his stupid, antiquated, stingy, stubborn n Selfish policies. Arteta n Flamini are below average but Weynger failed to sign even sign an average CDM just to protect dem.

Just be thankful we have a decent signing now, I think he will do OK and I wish him all the very best at our club. I still think Wonga should go but I am pleased about Danny boy joining us.

Arsenal will finish at the bottom of the EPL table aka tail-ender. The club will be handed humuliation that will forever linger in their memories. The beating starts on saturday against Man City. It is all biblical - u reap what u sow i.e u spend little u get little outcome. There are no miracles, no manna from heaven will drop. Fame, glory, victory are worked for and earned. Nothing is free.
Why can't Arsene leave? He has outlived his usefulness. Young managers like Sammy Happia, Pep, Diego Simone are doing great in their clubs. Let's give another manager a chance to once more lift the gloy of Arsenal. Fans from rival clubs are taunting us and it causes great heartache. WENGER MUST GO!

We are seething with anger. Signing Welbeck is the joke of 21st century. Does Wenger have some technical weaknesses which he doesn't want world class players to discover? That could be the reason why he does not buy big-time players. Is he really a professional football manager? Just what disease does Wenger suffer from? It is a dark moment for Arsenal fans. Wenger does not want to 'change with change, so change will change' him. Why is it so hard to relieve Arsene of his duties? The board gets so much money that emotional happiness of fans is immaterial. The other option for fans is to switch allegience to other clubs and leave Arsenal en masse.
WENGER, YOU HAVE BRUISED FANS EMOTIONALLY!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Wenger has done good business by signing Welbeck, the lad competed with the likes of Rooney and RVP.He can not be compared with Sanogo. All those worried about this signing do not follow or understand football.

While our rival club sign a World class striker Mr.Next Season was very busy to get of a striker from their substitute bench...Is Arsenal became too small???? Why searching a player in the bench of our rivals??? . Now that he bought a striker from the bench of Man Utd. My heart is bleeding. This old *** has no gut to sign a world class player. Time to force him out.....

Welbeck is a good signing. I've watched him play for England and I thought he was brilliant. His hold up play iand rouch s good. I think he is a good finisher, but never got the playing time at Man U. Give home time and he will be expectional. Would have like a 25/35 goal a season striker. But Welbeck is English and knows the premiership. Iam disappointed we didn't sign a rally big name which Sanchez is not.

I don't think we will even manage 4th this season. Poor window again and my heart i bleading!

Clueless activity on the part of a clueless club. Wenger has become a total liability as manager of my team. You all know this crap will continue as long as people pay to watch this mediocre *** week in and week out.

Meanwhile, where is the midfield general we need to sort out the chaos that is currently the Arsenal MF?

This club is a joke.

This is unbelievable... Welbeck. How is he better than Giroud or Campbell or Podolski it Sonago? We definitely need a Manager that know how to close deals for quality player in time. How does Welbeck add to Arsenal quality wise???
+2 #13 Ezepha 2014-09-01 21:45
The same old *** continue . We've seen all the serious teams that meant business who n who they went For, but my vosionless coach would have some stupid escuse and would want to say teams are not ready to sell. Bcuz he spent on Alexis so that was all 4 him. I sometime question the credibility of Wenger.
-1 #12 RomanianGunner 2014-09-01 21:10
Better we stay as we are and not throw moneys on players that where reserves on their teams.we missed falcao, carvalho and kedhira,i don t know if they can be replaced with others at the same quality,so, forget about transfers...maybe should give more minutes to campbell and podolski.ramsey and wilshere should be both on the field.maybe i'm wrong but flamini is for nothing
#11 ZorinSa 2014-09-01 20:39
Please mr.Wenger Sign at least Marco Reus. At least, Please bring him in. At least him.

Hi Mr.NextSeason (wenger).. Please resign your self before the fans kick you out... Do u think we need a dictatorship manager who has no Respect to the fans. please just walk away with your 8mn which is far more important to u than the Arsenal fans. Remember that We love this club , we want to give her trophy...
-2 #9 jonathan 2014-09-01 20:17
Our manager name is Next Season, not Wenger any more. He is satisfied with 8mn from our ticket price and he has no sympathy for the fans. If we are going to have the same manager again for the next season I will never buy a ticket. As long as he stay in emirates I won't buy any ticket. Please kick him out......
+2 #8 RG 2014-09-01 20:04
I for one will be abolutely delighted if we pull this one off. Quick, skillful and young, maybe not the best finisher but can still obviously improve himself. I'm not sure Falcao will ever be the same player he used to be after that knee injury. Wellbeck is much better signing.
-2 #7 babalola 2014-09-01 20:04
I don't understand this man called wenger why he so much like to be putting so much pressure on the fans if is less concern about winning premiership any more, he should come out boldly to all the fans that is not after lifting the cup anymore top 4 is better and is ok for him, so he can even go and bring somebody from division 3 to come and front, A team that their top striker is oliver, campbel, and sanogo non of those 3 players worth only Ba and danny is also same as them what's wrong with this professor, mr wenger pls give us the fans a reliable striker that can compete with any best striker in the world. Pls we beg! Pls Sir mr professor.

He needs a lone striker with a physical presence and a good conversion rate. He’s looking at Huntler but,
Arsenal should have got Ibrahimovic. Still a world class player and at 32 he would be cheap enough and good cover on a temporary basis. He is one of the best lone strikers, made for the English League. perfect for Arsenal. Scored a hatrick against England.
-2 #5 jay wax 2014-09-01 20:00
lets just wait for 'next season'........
-3 #4 Peka 2014-09-01 19:48
No...Welbeck definitely not better than either Sonago or Campbell. Now that Wenger had loss a signature of World class player like Falcao to Man Utd and go to Man utd substitute bench in search of striker.. what is the use of paying money for the ticket.

Do we need a player who is just a substitute bencher????? Better not spend the money for a player like Welbeck. All we need is a world class striker not a substitute bencher.. Say no to " NEXT SeaSon...Be Patient" no more excuse now .
+3 #1 Colin Phillips 2014-09-01 19:43
But how is he that much better than Joel Campbell? In my opinion he isn't.
