Arsenal great Robert Pires has urged Arsenal to chase the signature of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette following his fantastic form shown in Ligue 1.

Pires has become a fan of Lacazette who is turning the heads of many clubs in Europe. Lacazette has shown fantastic form this season. The Lyon man has scored a staggering 21 goals from 22 games this season, lifting Lyon up to the top of the French League. He has also scored 2 goals in 2 in Lyon’s cup run this season.

Lacazette’s form this season has brought along his international call up the French side.

Robert Pires has an eye for top French strikers, linking with fellow Frenchman Thierry Henry, Arsenal’s greatest striker. The former Gunners winger believes that Lacazette would be a perfect suit to Arsenal, stating he has all the quality needed to be a success at the North London outfit.

“Why not? His characteristics and style of play will suit Arsenal.”

"Although he doesn't have big posture, he's quick, can dribble, and has great skill. He also scores many goals. Perhaps he will be an Arsenal best buy in the future."

He did not mention whether Arsenal were or weren’t interested in the Lyon forward, rather highlighting the fact he should be one for Wenger to watch.

Lacazette is certainly a hot topic in European football. His form has been outstanding this season and has gained the attention of the likes of Liverpool and many other clubs across the continent.

Lacazette is a strong, fast and a clinical finisher in front of goal, as seen by his scoring rate this season. He would be a great asset to any club never mind Arsenal. A deal for the Frenchman however would be expensive following his form.

A major blow for the forward, however, is the fact that he has just picked up an injury at the weekend ruling him out for some time. The injury may dampen any interest around him this window but it remains to be seen if any bids come in.

Now transfer window almost meeting deadline and Arsenal never signed a quick and very active finisher say striker. we hear lots of rumours and defensive and mid domination signings with others done and other targets not. Wenger should listen to the advise of Arsenal fans though they are not his legal advisors! Go ahead bringing Lacazette and other rumoured targets before the deadline and we will be equally happy. Happy to see Lacazette this season at Arsenal!

It's time we got someone with quick reflects who can assist Sanchez. If Pires says Lacazette is good then let's go for him. Giroud is good with head but he is a bit sluggish. This is why Sanchez is in a class of his own.

I think we need a DM who can be a strong steel in front of the last four. This is where our problems originate from.

Looks like another Thierry Henry has been spotted...Can Wenger make a deal happen?...after all, he is from his favorite country, (F****e)...the earlier he makes the move, the better.

The problem with Wenger is that, he ends up with words and theories without action and practicals. High challenge that he takes responsibility for strikers not to dominate in mid! we are tired of theories!

I strongly buy the idea or proposal made by Pires for Lacazette. It is an asset to have him for Arsenal, his performances signal a successful Arsenal. We in Yei, South Sudan are equally moved by this proposal. Wenger should listen to such a wonderful idea and makke sure atleast something is made. This transfer window must mean something to Arsenal not ending things on paper.

The Bear has watched several clips of Lacazette and likes what he sees.

Even with the injury, if I were in Wenger's shoes right now I would put him in my January shopping basket and wrap him in cotton wool for awhile. Then let him loose towards the closing stages of the season.
