According to L’Equipe today, Arsenal are lining up a big money move to sign French international, Hugo Lloris from North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.

Lloris has been in fine form this season for Spurs, form which has earned the attention of their rivals. The French journalists are stating that Gunners boss, Arsene Wenger, is planning to make a shock move for the 28 year-old shot stopper.

It appears that Arsenal are reconsidering their goalkeeping list after becoming increasingly frustrated with Polish international Wojciech Szczesny. Szczesny has been playing second fiddle to Colombian, David Ospina, following his nightmare of a performance against Southampton and fallout with the manager, after he was caught smoking in the shower.

Szczesny returned to action in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Brighton but did not do much to try and force his way back into the Arsenal first team, conceding twice. It is believed that Ospina is to start against Aston Villa this Sunday in the Premier League.

L’Equipe have noted that it would be incredibly difficult to sign Lloris from a rival club however they believe Lloris could be on the move this summer.

It is believed Lloris is keen to play Champions’ League football and this seems like the key determinant to whether the French international stays at White Hart Lane.

Some reports have stated it would cost up to and above £25million to land the shot stopper.

Lloris has been at Spurs since his move from the then French Champions’ Lyon in 2012 and quickly made his way to Tottenham’s number 1 ‘keeper. He is also dubbed as one of the top ‘keepers in Europe so if Arsenal could do a deal for him, somehow, it would certainly be a great deal, however, like I said, this deal seems nearly impossible to me.

In a strange way, I wish it was true. Levy really would be strung up then. Personally I think you have more chance of moving back to Woolwich

Guess it's a good way to waste time. As likely as Arsenal winning the league. Top spelling there Taylor

I don't know who Taylor is but maybe you two should get a room. Think about Sol Campbell, he knew there was no chance of winning anything other than a leauge cup every 10 years or so at spurs so he came to the mighty Arsenal, and we won the leauge, do you remember when spurs last won the leauge?

It still amazes me how many Arsenal supporters talk of Tottenham being rubbish but wish they could have their players....
