News coming from French Media outlet L’Equipe says Bellerin has agreed a new four year extension to his current agreement. This would mean that Bellerin would be tied down until 2019.

This is potentially great news for Gunners fans everywhere. Bellerin who started the season as a 3rd choice right back has risen to the very top of the pecking order currently. This comes after an unfortunate season for Debuchy who has suffered two serious injuries.

Bellerin who has made 17 appearances scoring one goal for Arsenal was involved in the two key performances at Manchester City and Manchester United in the FA cup.

Known for his electric pace he has proved an asset in the team going forward but more importantly is improving defensively every game.

Bellerin has been that good Arsenal fans may start questioning if he should start next season as number one. Moreover, with Bellerin’s impressive performances, Arsenal may face a dilemma regarding Carl Jenkinson’s future.

This will be a difficult decision especially when Jenkinson has been brilliant this season and a lifelong Arsenal fan.

This shows great thinking on the clubs part to tie his long term future down. If he carries on working hard and improving his may hold that right back spot for the next 10 years and engrave himself into Arsenal’s history.

I think we should offload merte, flamini, diaby, podolski and call back jenkinson, and make Wilshere a Deep Lying Playmaker like at the england squad, then convert chambers and Debuchy to CB
