Petr Cech has signed for Arsenal according to many media outlets this evening although, it must be stressed that there is no official confirmation.

A fee of £11 million has been agreed with personal terms already agreed as reported by Sky Sports News HQ.  It is understood that the wages will be around £100,000 per week.

This is brilliant news for all Arsenal fans as Cech brings a wealth of experience as well as a winning mentality.  Cech is a world class goalkeeper who would strengthen most sides across Europe which means this is a coup for Arsenal especially when you consider the selling club is Chelsea.

It has long been reported that Cech had a desire to stay in London and it looks like these wishes will be met. John Terry was asked about the potential deal and had the following to say

“If they do get Petr he is going to strengthen them for sure. He could save them 12 or 15 points a season.”

Arsenal have needed a world class goalkeeper for years and it now looks like they will have one which is another piece of the jigsaw filled. Hopefully, the ability and experience of Cech will help Szchesny along the way and mature him. If this happens Arsenal will have a world class goalkeeper in the present and the future which will be vital if Arsenal are to challenge for the title and the champions league.

Overall, this will be a brilliant signing and may have the potential to the signing of the summer.

ospina is not good enough for Arsenal ?We have seen last season his ability to keep us on top four. Really..... Arsenal needs strong defender than gool keeper.
