After succeeding in his attempt to lure Petr Cech to Arsenal, Arsene Wenger has now shifted his focus to an attacking reinforcement in the shape of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who may cost the Gunners nothing shy of £28million.

The Gabonese international has become an instant hit at the Westfalenstadion since his move two years ago notching up forty-one goals while the rest of the roster underperformed.

His heroics under Jurgen Klopp have prompted Liverpool and Arsenal to bid for him, but the latter are believed to be the front-runners for his signature.

Thierry Henry put forth his thesis that his former side need four signings, including a top, top-quality striker to have a crack at the Premier League title next season and recent reports from Germany indicate that the London side may support his thesis with the capture of the Borussia Dortmund forward.

The 26-year-old possesses traits that Arsenal supporters have been longing to see in Olivier Giroud – pace and agility – and could form one of the most intimidating partnerships in Europe, alongside Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott, who are also reputed for their intimidating pace.

German media suggest that Real Madrid have strong interest in him, but he may prefer Arsenal to the Spanish giants for it is only in London, where he would get the due recognition and playing time that he rightfully deserves.

This would be a master signing with so much pace it be impossible for a rival defence to push a highline, giving us more time on the ball . Sign him!
