Arsenal, thanks to the ineptness of their strikers as well as Mike Dean, are now on the lookout for a magic to kick-start their campaign, but recent reports emanating from Turkish media outlet Radyospor could have an adverse effect on their ambitions.

Mesut Ozil has lately been linked with a move to Fenerbahce and his agent has now talked up the possibility of his client abandoning the Arsenal ship in favour of a move to the long-term pursuers. Erkut Sogut claimed that the 26-year-old would prefer to stay, but added that the decision would be in the hands of Arsene Wenger when the Turkish giants come knocking in the summer.

“Fenerbahce wants to sign Mesut Ozil, but the main thing is he wants to stay at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal will make a decision at the end of the season. Nevertheless, it is very difficult to predict in advance that decision. If Arsenal agrees to the transfer, Fenerbahce will be a serious option for us.”

With the Turkish Super Lig regarded as the pre-Major League Soccer haven, for a player of the calibre German playmaker, whose performance graph has hardly gone down, contrary to the popular media-myth, a move to Sukru Saracoglu Stadium can be deemed to be a major step-down. Besides, he may also lose his supremacy in the German national team dressing room in the unlikely event of him joining Fenerbahce. Thus, the move seems unlikely as of now, but you never know what happens next in the world of football.

Yes Ozil is a great player but he ain't an Arsenal player, there's a few boys there much too fond of jumping out of tackles, they can share Ozils cab out of Arsenal too, no room for bottle merchants or lightweights at this club, one last thing, Wenger, show some respect for the Captains armband, you just chuck it round like an effing water bottle, Cazorla captain? Have the decency to treat it with the respect it deserves you ingrate,,, that's all,,,
