Arsenal have been struggling for form this season, having won only a meagre of four games in eight, but their manager, Arsene Wenger believes that his men have been the best away from home, while speaking to the press ahead of the Leicester clash.

Of the four wins, three were registered when the Gunners were the visitors. The Frenchman admitted the difficulty in not playing at Emirates Stadium, but went on to pat his own shoulder for their decent away record, lauding the mental qualities of his side.

“It is difficult but I must say that our away record has been great,” he said. “We do not go into these games feeling that we have too much of a handicap because we have done extremely well away from home.

“If you look at our results away from home, they are among the best and I think we have been the best away from home. That shows we have the mental qualities. In these two games we played with 10 men under very unfortunate circumstances.”

Arsenal went into the north London derby after suffering two consecutive humiliating defeats in a trot, but managed to sink Tottenham at their own turf and the manager stated that it showcased their fighting spirits above all.

“We showed what fighting is about on Wednesday night because the game was more about commitment and mental resources than fluency. That’s what we showed on Wednesday.

“It keeps us in all the competitions and that is something that is a very positive feeling. It shows that we have a big squad at a very strong level and I have always considered that because I have confidence in every single player.”

Arsene Wenger takes his side to King Power Stadium tomorrow and would want his under-fire players in the likes of Alexis Sanchez to step up as they have gone off to a brilliant start to life under new manager Claudio Ranieri.
