Triumph for Arsenal as they lift the FA cup for the 12th time and the 6th under Wenger’s reign.  A 4-0 win doesn’t tell the whole story as Arsenal were excellent all game playing  a high tempo game with crisp passing which made Villa look ordinary.

Szczesny - 7 – After much talk before the game, the giant pole performed and showed Arsenal he may not yet be finished. There was a change in tactic from the Arsenal keeper who decided to come for most balls to stop the dangerous Benteke.

Bellerin – 7 – A quiet game defensively but was good going forward and showed that he is mature enough to handle the pressure  of such a massive occasion.

Mertesacker - 7 – A solid game defensively who dealt with the dangerous Benteke. Also, scored the third goal that ultimately killed the game.

Koscielny – 7 – Another very good performance by Koscielny who again kept the Villa attack quiet once again.

Monreal - 7 - A good performance by the Spanish left back who was key in the build up to the first goal. Monreal constantly looked a threat down Arsenal’s left which proved to be key.

Coquelin – 8 – A great performance by the French midfielder. Although, he was not massively involved defensively he was important in the midfield and showed good ability on the ball. The pass out to Walcott in the move for the first goal was superb.

Cazorla – 9 – An outstanding performance by the little magician.  Cazorla was involved in all the good aspects of Arsenal’s performance. Cazorla had a great performance in terms of passing and was instrumental in dictating the tempo.

Ӧzil – 9 – Ӧzil was outstanding as well and ran the games at time. Additionally, he put a shift in for the team but it was his little touches which were impressive as well as his vision.

Ramsey – 8 – Ramsey had a very good game after a couple of disappointing performances. Ramsey was a constant threat and deserved a goal.

Sanchez - 9 – A fantastic performance which topped off a great season for Arsenal. Sanchez also scored a spectacular goal and played brilliantly. Once again his work rate was brilliant.

Walcott – 8 – A bold decision by Wenger to start Walcott up front ahead of Giroud which paid off. Walcott scored a spectacular volley to score the first goal and looked a threat with his pace in behind.

Subs:

Giroud - 7 – A goal for Giroud off the bench saw him end his goal drought.

Wilshere – 7 – Made an impact off the bench and showed he will play an important role next year.

Oxlade- Chamberlain -7 - Registered an assist for the Giroud goal.

Overall, a great performance by the Arsenal and showed that they can cope with the pressure. This win shows progress but we must now kick on. Whatever you do tonight make sure you celebrate.

I real enjoyed. That remind me the reason why I am an Arsenal life fan. Sometimes they used to give me pressure, but on that Saturday they reminded me the era of Overmas, Dennis,Thiery,Fabrig ase etc. Keep it up boys. If you display such game next year no team will overtake you.
Bravo Les Prof, Bravo the entire team management and players
