Arsenal followed up with a win after their impressive midweek performance. Two headed goals from Giroud and Koscielny was enough to lift Arsenal up to the top of the league for at least 24 hours.

Cech – 8 – Cech was impressive again pulling off a crucial save in the last 5 minutes. The save won Arsenal the match and won the three points.

Bellerin – 7 – An impressive performance from the right back again who was great going forward and played well defensively.

Gabriel – 7 – A good performance by the returning defender who made a last ditch tackle in the 93rd minute.

Koscielny – 7 – Koscielny played well like he usually does and consistently won the ball. Grabbed himself a goal as well which was the winner in the end.

Monreal – 7 – Monreal stopped the cross numerous times and attacked well throughout the game.

Coquelin - 7 – Broke up the play well and moved the ball well to get Arsenal going on the attack.

Cazorla – 8 – Cazorla ran the show from that central position, often spreading the play and keeping possession.

Oxlade- Chamberlain – 7 – An average performance first half but got better throughout the game. He nearly created a goal for Sanchez after a very good run.

Ӧzil – 9 – Ӧzil was in fine form once again often keeping the ball. He grabbed himself an assist for the opening goal with a lovely ball into the box.

Sanchez – 7 – Sanchez didn’t have his greatest game but did play well. Often ran with the ball and still put in his usual work. However, he did look tired and may get a rest midweek.

Giroud – 9 – A terrific performance by Giroud who was preferred to Walcott for today’s match. Held the ball up brilliantly and grabbed himself a goal.

Subs

Flamini – N/A – Didn’t have much time to influence the game.

Gibbs – N/A - Didn’t have much time to influence the game.

Overall, another impressive win for Arsenal who are now top of the league. Can they be there in May, time will tell. Arsenal now play in the Capital one cup on Tuesday where they will travel to Sheffield Wednesday.

I agree I think Ox kept the ball too long a simple pass out wide would have opened up the defence. However loss of the ball gave Everton a chance of counter attck.
I do not know who was at fault but 3players were unmarked on Arsenals left. Thank goodness Benteke missed the header. Overall good by Arsenal and Giroud.

Barkley scored after Ox lost the ball near Everton's box; he did not pass to Bellerin and tried to shoot... as a result we faces an effective counter attack from Everton. But overall, the team was again very disciplined and controlled most of the game.

Generous marks for Bellerin and definitely for Ox - he gave the ball away far too often. The rest pretty spot on I'd say. Õzil is playing splendidly - working hard and with moments of pure genius.
