A fantastic away win at the Liberty stadium sees Arsenal remain level on points with Manchester City. The win was much bigger after injuries to key players in midweek. After a poor first half many fans would have took a draw but an excellent Mesut Ӧzil provided the assists to see Arsenal home. The goal scorers included Giroud, Koscielny and the debutant Campbell.

Cech – 7 – An excellent performance again showing why it is so important to have a world class keeper. He dealt with everything well and gets another clean sheet.

Bellerin – 7 – Given a tough time by the dangerous Montero but did well. Made a crucial tackle when Gomis was through on goal. This happened after showing fantastic commitment by sprinting back from the halfway line.

Mertesacker – 7 – Defended well in the backline but was exposed in that first half.

Koscielny – 7 – Solid again and got another goal which makes that two in two.

Monreal – 7 – Defended well against the dangerous Ayew.

Coquelin – 6 – Had a quiet game and was barely mentioned.

Cazorla – 6 – Didn’t really get mentioned but was solid within the defensive unit.

Campbell – 8 – Campbell was making his full premier league debut and grabbed his first goal for the club. He went close in the first half and defended well throughout the game often getting back to help Bellerin.

Ӧzil – 9 – Ӧzil was fantastic once again providing the assist for each goal. The German’s form is fantastic at the moment and let’s hope it can continue.

Sanchez – 6 - A quiet game and wasn’t really involved. Some of his passing was poor and looked tired.

Giroud - 7 – Missed a wonderful chance in the first half but scored the opening goal from a corner. Giroud got more involved in the 2nd half which was crucial to the win.

Subs

Chambers – N/A – Didn’t have any time to influence the game

Gibbs – N/A – Didn’t have any time to influence the game

Iwobi – N/A – Didn’t have any time to influence the game

Overall, a fantastic win for Arsenal who continue their impressive form. Next up is Bayern Munich away before the North London derby.

The first half was nail biting and Arsene must have had stern words at half time because the Gunners responded fantastically. Please don't get injured Mesut .... we need you to continue your tremendous form. All your uneducated ignorant detractors seemed to have melted away don't they? I wonder if you ever get to read any of these comments? I do hope so and that you are encouraged by the fact that we love you!!!!!
