A comfortable win for the Arsenal this afternoon which saw Arsenal move back to the top of table for at the least the next 24 hours. Walcott won an early penalty which saw Giroud score from the spot before Ramsey made it two just before half time with another Ӧzil assist in the process.

Cech – 7 – Dealt with everything which came his way and equals the all-time clean sheets record.

Bellerin – 7 – Played well for most parts of the game and seems to be coming through his struggles.

Mertesacker – 7 – Played well at the heart of the defence.

Koscielny – 7 – Was his usual consistent self although very rarely troubled.

Monreal - 7 – Defended well against Sinclair and Hutton who often doubled up on him.

Flamini – 7 – Did his job well but concerns me at times when he goes too far forward.

Ramsey – 8 – A fantastic midfield display by Ramsey who looks a much better player central than on the right. Got himself a goal but won the tackle to start the move.

Campbell – 6 – Worked hard but wasn’t really in the game.

Ӧzil - 8 – Another excellent display and grabbed the assist for the second goal. The assist summed up his unselfishness as he could have had a shot himself.

Walcott – 7 – Won the penalty early on and looked a threat at times.

Giroud – 8 – A very good performance and his all-round game was good. Held the ball up well and got the goal from a calm penalty.

Subs

Oxlade – Chamberlain – 6 – Looked good in patches.

Gibbs – 6 – Did his job by protecting Monreal.

Chambers – N/A – Didn’t have much time to influence the game

Overall, the win was the most important thing which moves Arsenal to the top. Next week is the biggest test this season against Manchester City.

The answer obviously is that Ramsey is not better than Santi so he couldn't oust him for the position.

Why does it always take an injury to force Wenger to play some players in their natural ositions, Ramsey in the middle?? Duh!!
