An important win as Arsenal progress to the next round. Not as comfortable as some Arsenal fans may have liked but the win was the most important thing. The match saw Elneny make his debut. Chambers opened the scoring before Vokes levelled. Sanchez then won it early in the second half.

Ospina – 7 – Mixed afternoon for Ospina who pulled off two good saves from efforts from Andre Grey but looked nervous at times.

Chambers - 7 – Played at right back and scored a great goal. At times looked defensively suspect but did break up the play to start the move for the winning goal.

Gabriel – 6 – Didn’t convince in the absence of Mertesacker and looked like he had a mistake in him. However, he did look better in the second half.

Koscielny – 6 - Didn’t look solid and just like Gabriel look like he may make a mistake. Looked stronger in the second half.

Gibbs – 6 – Looked lively early on and did okay.

Coquelin – 6 – Made his return from injury and looked rusty which was expected. Gave the ball away a lot but should get better.

Elneny – 7 - Was very good on debut show casing what he can do. Looked nervous early on giving the ball away and was outmuscled early on. However, as the game progressed he got better. Had around six shots which were mostly 20 yards plus which is a positive as he was not afraid to shoot.

Oxlade – Chamberlain – 7 – Looked lively throughout the match and provided the assist for the second goal. In need of a confidence booster but looked better today.

Iwobi – 7 - Impressed by Iwobi once again who looks like he deserves more minutes. Very good with the ball at his feet and worked hard. Iwobi was involved in Arsenal’s good moments.

Sanchez – 8 – First start since November and scored his 10th goal of the season with a good finish. Injects that pace into the attack and always looking forward.

Giroud – 6 – Held the ball up well but didn’t have a clear cut chance.

Subs

Arteta – 6 – Got 20 minutes but didn’t make a contribution.

Rosicky – 6 – Nice to see Rosicky back in an Arsenal shirt but didn’t influence the game.

Walcott – 6 – Only got around 12 minutes but had a good chance late on.

Overall, a decent performance and win with plenty of positives. Elneny impressed on debut and it was nice to see injured players return.

not happy to scrape through against a championship side?Walcot seemed nervous when coming in, he need to relax and he will be more dangerous and useful to the team going forward...

How on earth did Theo not score with a few minutes to go! Giroud would have scored and so would Alexis. He HAS to do better than this - so inconsistent.
