News broke at 4.00PM that Barcelona have told Cesc Fabregas he can leave. This is all according to Sky Sources however; this is now being reported by the Telegraph.

It is of their understanding that Fabregas has been offered to Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.  Sky sources are also saying that he is expected to return to the Premier League.

This now means that it is decision time for Arsenal because they have the first refusal clause as well as the buy back. We know that Wenger is in constant contact with Fabregas and spoke about it last summer:

Today brings good news to most Arsenal fans with the news that Arsene Wenger has put pen to paper to sign a new 3 year deal at Arsenal. It was first understood that the announcement would come tomorrow but Arsenal have confirmed it today.

Wenger said the following in the statement;

We are entering a very exciting period. We have a strong squad, financial stability and huge support around the world. We are all determined to bring more success to this club”

Real Sociedad forward Carlos Vela has seemingly rejected claims that he will move back to Arsenal by admitting he never felt comfortable in London.

Various reports over the past few days have suggested that Arsène Wenger will try to bring the Mexican back to the Emirates.

The Daily Star reported a story ran by Spanish newspaper Marca which insisted Wenger was desperate to bring the 25-year-old back to his former club.

Vela better prepared but is he willing to move?

Marca believe there is a £3.3 million buy-back clause in Vela’s contract and the player himself had initially opened the door to a move.

Arsenal have received a further boost in their hopes to bring Argentine international Ángel di María to the Emirates for the 2014/15 season.

The Real Madrid winger was sensational last season and played a major part in helping his club win the Champions League. Arsenal Latest reported recently that Arsenal were looking to make a £35 million bid for the 26-year-old.

A source close to di María told UOL Sport recently that the Argentinian would be interested in leaving Madrid this summer and that the Gunners had already made an offer for the midfielder.

The Metro has reported that former Manchester City goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon could be on his way to Arsenal after release from the Etihad.

Wenger could convince the Romanian to join Arsenal by offering a shot at first team football—Pantimilion has impressed in his few chances at City and would provide genuine competition for Szczesny.

This would be ideal for our young Pole, who has come on tremendously this season due to the pressure of having a top goalkeeper, in the form of a revitalized Fabianski, behind him.
