As the transfer window opens the first transfer which involves Arsenal is an exit. Lukas Podolski landed in Milan last night to complete his move to Inter today. This is yet to be confirmed by Arsenal.com but the deal is expected to happen.
It is understood Podolski underwent a medical this morning before officially being announced as an Inter player this afternoon. Details of the loan are yet to be announced but according to various reports it is a loan until the end of the season costing them €600,000.

It has been rumoured in the Mirror that Lukas Podolski stormed out of training on New Year’s Eve. It was believed by the Mirror that Podolski had had enough of not getting first team football. This situation was then apparently made worse when he believed that Arsenal were trying to block a move away for him to get first team football.
However, Podolski has took to Twitter to tell the correct story and somewhat put the Mirror in their place.

Lukas Podolski stormed out of training on New Year’s Eve after become increasingly unhappy at the first team football he is receiving. It is understood that he pulled out of training due to a groin injury but it is believed it is due to the lack of first team football.
Further to this, Podolski is also unhappy that he may not get a move away this January. Podolski himself feels Arsenal are trying to block any possible loan deal to Inter Milan. This comes after Wenger brandished their interest as a “Joke”.
According to the Mirror, the fallout escalated quickly and this is down to the fact the German is a World Cup winner and believes he should be given a chance.

Speculation has increased about the potential signing of Edison Cavani after he was left out of the PSG squad. PSG are heading abroad to do some warm weather training in their winter break but when looking at the squad it was seen that Cavani was omitted.
It has become clear to the PSG manager that Cavani is unhappy and would like a move to the premier league, however, Arsenal would have to break their transfer record again as the figure being quoted is £50 million.

Arsene Wenger today brandished Inter a “joke” after being asked about the potential transfer of Lukas Podolski. This was after Wenger accused them of not being serious about him;
“Inter? That is a joke,” he said. “Inter is not serious, they talk. There is only talks.”
