After weeks of speculation, the Gunners have finally signed Nice goalkeeper David Ospina for a reported £4 million fee.
Long-term acquisition
The Colombian international joins the club as a replacement for departed FA Cup hero Lukasz Fabianski, who transferred to Swansea City at the start of the transfer window.
Tied down to a long-term contract, believed to be five years, Arsène Wenger confirmed that the player caught his eye during the World Cup in Brazil this summer and would add the extra quality needed for the side to compete next season.

Despite last weeks signing of French international Mathieu Debuchy, it looks as though Arsène Wenger is set to sign another fullback in the form of Southampton’s Calum Chambers.
Medical Completed
The Telegraph report that the Gunners are prepared to bid £10 million, in order to test their Premier League counterparts resolve in an approach to sign the highly rated Englishman.
With only 23 first-team appearances, including one against Arsenal last campaign, The Daily Star claim that a deal is so far advanced that the player already completed his medical on Thursday.

Arsenal’s interest for Mario Balotelli has reignited, after AC Milan reportedly told the club that they would be interested in selling their star man, if Joel Campbell moves the other way.
Balotelli Bargain
Any deal for the Italian striker seemed wide off the mark, after weeks of speculation came to nothing and Alexis Sanchez became the Gunners first marquee signing of the summer.
However, Italian newspaper Tuttosport headline today that Milan will sell Balotelli for €10 million, if Costa Rican whiz kid Joel Campbell was to move to the San Siro as part of the deal.

Arsène Wenger is set to keep the faith in Jack Wilshere and transform him into a defensive midfielder, following the end of his pursuit for German international Sami Khedira.
Creative deadlock
The Express report that Arsenal are ready to invest their time and effort in converting Jack Wilshere into a deeper lying midfielder during pre-season for the upcoming campaign.
This comes after the club have seen moves for Sami Khedira, Lars Bender and Morgan Schneiderlin become deadlocked, with the manager keen to spend his transfer budget on more pressing issues within the squad.

Despite the Gunners eagerly awaiting the arrival of Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina, there are rumours that the club will add another to their squad in the form of Spaniard Iker Casillas.
Long-term termination
Spanish newspaper Sport claim today that Arsenal have offered the goalkeeper an offer that he cannot refuse, which will lead to the 33-year-olds mutual contract termination.
Despite being a reportedly big fan of Casillas, it is uncharacteristic of Wenger to spend what The Metro claim would be in excess of £100,000 a week to secure the player on a five-year contract.
