Arsenal grab an important win against West ham to move the Arsenal back up to fourth.

Szczesny - 8 - Szczesny had an extremely good game claiming crosses 9 times out of 10 and relieving pressure of the shaky Arsenal defence.

Debuchy - 5 – An average game for the French right back but looked nervous all game. Crosses were never really dangerous and was at fault for the goal. Debuchy was looking for a foul rather than attacking the ball.

Mertesacker - 7 – Mertesacker looked better with Koscielny beside him and dealt with most things. Per managed to keep Andy Carroll quiet for most of the game.

Koscielny - 7 - A good game by the returning Koscielny who partnered Mertesacker well. Sakho looked dangerous at times but in the whole was dealt with.

Monreal - 5 – Most of West Ham’s play came from the left hand side of the Arsenal defence. Monreal often let crosses come in and to really stop them. If West Ham had a better right back available, Arsenal may well have been punished.

Flamini - 6 – Did a job sitting in front of the back four, kept the team well organised and looked solid in front of the back 4.

Coquelin – 7 - Surprise selection to start the game but was very good in the midfield. Not afraid to put a tackle in and was also confortable on the ball. He may have given himself a chance to stay at Arsenal and fight for a place, was very impressed especially with the lack of football at this level.

Oxlade-Chamberlain - 8 – The Ox impressed once again after returning from injury. Oxlade-Chamberlain had a great game running with the ball and tracking back. The Ox provided the key cross to make it 2-0 and ultimately win the game.

Cazorla - 8 – Cazorla was impressive once again scoring from the penalty spot. Cazorla won the penalty but more importantly dictated the play providing key passes the whole match.

Sanchez - 8 – The ever impressive Sanchez was great once again. His work rate added to his skill has made him a fan favourite and his performance was no different today. His running with the ball was impressive and no West Ham player got close.

Welbeck - 7 - Welbeck got a well-deserved goal after returning to the point of the attack with an easy tap in after getting into the position which was desired. Welbeck looked dangerous on the counter in the second half but just lacked that final finish.

Gibbs - N/A – Didn’t have enough time to really have any influence.

Chambers - N/A – Didn’t have enough time to really have any influence.

Overall, a great win at a very dangerous West Ham, Arsenal now move onto Southampton away.
