This afternoon’s game saw Arsenal grab the 3 points and move up to 3rd in the Premier League.

Ospina - 6 – Ospina was ok but didn’t look assured and had a rush of blood when running out of the box. There will be plenty of talk regarding the goalkeeping situation.

Chambers - 6 – Chambers is decent but often looks clumsy and doesn’t look fantastic at right back, however, he did enough to make sure Arsenal won the game.

Mertesacker - 7 – Mertesacker had a decent game and seems to be returning to his old form. There were a lot of balls coming into the box which he dealt with and most of the time Arsenal looked like they were going to keep a clean sheet.

Koscielny - 7 – Again dealt with the Palace threat well and was his accomplished self.

Monreal - 7 – Debatable especially when often being beaten by the pace of Zaha but did enough to warrant a 7 and carries on his impressive form.

Coquelin - 7 – Was lucky not to be sent off but did break up the play well and put in some good challenges.

Cazorla - 7 – Scored from the penalty spot again and looked composed throughout the game. Had a fantastic work ethic and showed his importance to the team once again.

Ӧzil - 7 – At the start of the game looked lost but improved as the game went on. Often criticised for his lack of defending, Ӧzil defended well a couple of times and showed improvement in that part of his game. Ӧzil also played a key role in one of the best moves in the game.

Welbeck - 7 – Fantastic work ethic and shows why he gets into the team. Won the penalty, and had his shot saved what made the second goal.

Sanchez - 7 – Sanchez had a quiet game but often held the ball and came close to scoring after great play from Ӧzil.

Giroud - 7 –Kept up his good scoring form with his 8th goal in 11 converting the save from a Welbeck shot. Held the ball up well allowing Arsenal players to get forward.

Gibbs - N/A – Didn’t really have time to influence the game.

Rosicky - N/A – Didn’t really have time to influence the game.

Gabriel - N/A – Didn’t really have time to influence the game.

Overall, not at our brilliant best but we take away 3 points from a difficult place and move up to 3rd. The team now move onto Monaco in the Champions League.

I think Chambers has an edge at cb that he can't possess at rb. I am actually really happy that we didn't play our best. If you look at all the top teams in their prime (e.g. Man U) they pick up points even when they're not at their best so it was a very important three points. Red Army!

To me all that matters primarily is getting the 3points which we did. The way and manner does not matter. We are just used to Arsenal holding onto possession and playing beautiful football. The question is what did we win with it? The has been a change in tactics from Wenger and its working. Please, how can some one say they should drop Carzola? Arguably the hottest player in the league now.

Still room for improvement, must not keep changing team to accommodate returning players just to keep everyone happy. Hopefully Mr Wenger will aquire the much needed six foot plus QUALITY holding midfield player in the summer. The board must also sort out the back room physio staff to prevent re occurring injuries that we seem to get.

Not quite perfect, but I will take the 3points and that's all that matters.
