This Sunday’s match saw Arsenal grab a point at Old Trafford. It was a game of two halves which saw Arsenal play really poorly within the first half which was summed up by having no shots on goal but an improved Arsenal rescued a point.

Ospina - 7 -  Dealt with most stuff well and couldn’t really do much about the goal as it was sweetly struck.

Bellerin - 7 – A good match by Bellerin considering he was dealing with an inform Young.

Mertesacker - 7 – Dealt with most crosses which came into the box.

Koscielny - 7 – A good defensive display showing a good reading of the game.

Monreal - 6 – An okay match by the Spaniard but didn’t really stop an attacking Valencia from getting the ball into the box. He probably should have done better with the United goal instead he over compensated for Fellaini.

Coquelin - 6 - An average performance by Coquelin but was a good defensive shield but Manchester United did get at Arsenal’s defence.

Cazorla - 6 – A poor game from the tricky Spaniard in midfield which was summed up by his poor passing. Although he was more of a defensive midfielder in the first half.

Ramsey - 8 – After a poor first half Ramsey upped his game in the second half with the standout performance of the match. This was shown when being moved into a central area.

Ӧzil - 7 – A quiet game by the German but did have an influence on the game in some areas.

Sanchez - 6 – Sanchez didn’t have his best game but showed a great work ethic. Often lost the ball when going forward and wasn’t really much of a threat although he did have a knock apparently which may be one of the reason behind his poor game.

Giroud - 7 – A difficult afternoon for the Frenchman but did show some good touches within the game and missed a chance in the last 5 minutes of normal time.

Subs

Wilshere - 7 – Looked good in the midfield two with Ramsey often getting forward and making Arsenal look dangerous in the last 15 minutes.

Walcott - 7 – Got the all-important assist in the own goal and looked dangerous when running at pace.

Flamini - N/A – Didn’t have much time to influence the game.

Overall, a good point which almost secures third for this season which shows a sign of progress. However, a big summer is ahead as this team does need strengthening in key areas.

A very poor first half with a huge improvement in the second half...truth is, the three points would have been ours if they boys had push a little more... additional top striker will threaten Giroud and bring out the best in him...we still want him in the squad... We need a strong central defender...Met is aging...Overall, average performance.

If we intend recruiting a striker we need to get somebody who is much better than Giroud. We have been creating a lot but been unable to convert the chances in front of goal. So what we really need to recruit is a lethal striker that will really make the difference.

Beneteke and a good holding midfield and another defender and we will be title challengers

Arsenal is crying for a cLinical world class striker. Giroud is a quality second choice second grade rated striker cannot win us the Lig. We need upgrade, top class striker to take us to Lig (PL) glory. We need to say good bye to this near miss business.

The last two results prove that we need additional players, playing players out of position to enable them to be in the squad does not work. We have too many central midfield players, and only one reasonable defensive midfielder, playing other players to cover is this position is costing us dear.
Requirements: goalkeeper, quality central defender, quality holding midfield player and a natural goal scoring forward.
Most of all we require a leader on the field, put your hand in your pocket Mr Wenger and purchase, now we gave monies, Chelsea, Man C and Man U undoubtably will

Giroud was crap again missing chances to score, this is the difference between a WC striker and an average striker, another chance to beat the Mancs at home and now we may finish third or fourth, the overall performance was poor
