Sunday afternoon saw Arsenal get a draw away at Stoke which was largely due to Petr Cech in goal who secured a point late on.

Cech – 9 – A terrific performance pulling off three world class saves. At this rate must be a contender for player of the year.

Bellerin – 7 – A good performance who defended well and dealt with the threat of Arnautovic.

Mertesacker – 7 – Had a good game and dealt with the technical and aerial threat of Stoke.

Koscielny – 7 – Played well and didn’t make a big mistake this week. Was key in the clean sheet.

Monreal – 8 – A great game defensively from Monreal who continues to impress.

Flamini – 6 – Needed to do better to keep hold of the ball especially in the second half.

Oxlade – Chamberlain – 6 – A mixed afternoon for the Ox who at times looked good and tested Butland in the first half but was also sloppy in the match often giving the ball away.

Campbell – 7 – A good performance again and played a delightful ball in the first half. Worked hard all afternoon and tried to create chances.

Ramsey – 7 – Tried to get on the ball but couldn’t really create anything.

Walcott – 6 – Poor match by Walcott who failed to control the ball on a regular occasion. Subbed after 70 minutes and was the right decision. Needs to improve in the coming weeks or else his place may be taken.

Giroud – 7 – Had Arsenal’s best chance but his shot was saved by the brilliant Butland. Tried to hold the ball up at a difficult ground.

Subs

Iwobi – 7 – Looked really good in the 20 minutes he got and showed what a talent his is. If given longer he may have created something.

Chambers – N/A – Didn’t have much time to influence the game.

Overall, it seems to be a good point especially when you consider the difficulties Arsenal have had recently at Stoke. However, we could have done with three after the late equaliser by Liverpool in midweek.
