The early kick off saw Arsenal claim an important win thanks to goals from Welbeck and premier league debutant Alex Iwobi. Arsenal were excellent first half pressing high up the pitch and playing some of their best football of the season.
Ospina – 7 – Ospina dealt with the couple of shots Everton had and got clattered in the second half. However, carried on and looked uncomfortable which is hopefully just a knock.
Bellerin -7 – Looked dangerous all game and defended okay. Played a delightful ball for the second goal to grab an assist.
Gabriel – 7 – Looked nervous early on but grew into the game to have a solid performance.
Koscielny – 8 – Thought Koscielny was excellent dominating his own box all game. Was first to everything and was key in the clean sheet.
Monreal – 7 – Defended well and attacked when needed.
Coquelin – 7 – Played well and defended well and looked more comfortable next to Elneny.
Elneny – 7 – Impressive once again and looks a steal for £5 million. It seems like him and Coquelin have a good partnership going.
Sanchez – 7 – Played well and look dangerous but lost the ball in the final third a few times. However, did get the assist for the opening goal after a lovely move.
Ӧzil – 7 – Was fairly quiet but was involved in most of the good stuff however, went off injured.
Iwobi – 8 –Though Iwobi was brilliant and thoroughly deserved his goal. He has looked impressive at the start of his Arsenal career but still needs to work on his final ball.
Welbeck – 8 – Another impressive performance and is definitely the inform striker at Arsenal at the moment. Worked hard all game and scored the opening goal of the game with a good finish.
Subs
Gibbs – 6 – Didn’t have any influence on the game.
Giroud – 6 – Didn’t have any influence on the game.
Chambers – N/A – Didn’t have any time to influence the game.
Overall, a very good win at a difficult ground especially when you consider the form Arsenal have been in. All we can do is win our matches and see where the season takes us but we must be united together as fans.
