Arsenal made it three consecutive wins to move them up the table. Arsenal looked shaky at the back and made hard work off the win especially after Hull went down to ten men just before half time. Arsenal took the lead after an Iwobi shot deflected off Sanchez. Livermore then conceded a penalty after deliberate hand ball which got him sent off. However, the resultant penalty taken by Sanchez was saved. Walcott put us two up before Cech conceded a penalty which was subsequently scored. Sanchez then scored the third before Xhaka scored a superb long range effort to make it four.

Cech – 6 - Played okay but conceded the penalty to let Hull back in the match.

Bellerin – 7- Looked dangerous going forward and defended well.

Mustafi – 7 – Mustafi played well considering it’s only his second game in the league. Only concern is he is very eager to try and nick the ball which may cause problems in the future.

Koscielny – 7 - Played well and martialed the defence.

Monreal – 7 – Played well considering no protection was offered by Iwobi.

Coquelin – 7- Did a job in the midfield but again the concern is his positioning. Coquelin keeps venturing forward all off the time and needs to learn to stay in his position.

Cazorla – 6 – Was lucky not to be sent off for a second bookable offence.

Walcott – 8 – Thought Walcott looked lively today and scored his second goal of the season. Has offered more than Oxlade- Chamberlain this year.

Ӧzil – 6 – Had a fairly quiet game and missed a sitter in that first half. Was quiet throughout the game and does not look at his best at the moment.

Iwobi – 8 – Iwobi was impressive in attack and grabbed a couple of assists with the second being majestic. However, does need to track back to help Monreal.

Sanchez – 8 – Scored a couple of goals and missed a penalty but his second was scored at an important time.

Subs –

Xhaka – 7 – Came on around the 60th minute and scored the fourth goal.

Elneny – 6 – Got around 15 minutes in the match and got an assist for the fourth goal.

Perez – N/A – Didn’t have much time to influence the game.

Overall a good win and another three points however, there is plenty to work on. Once the team starts to click they could be dangerous.

I cant second guess AW and looking at the team sellection no one was able to either. I agree with Paul in that I was not comfortable watching the game until the third gaol.
I felt that there were patches in the game where we were walking aroung with the ball with no sense of being goal hungry. Dips of concentration where the defence were away on holiday that lead to Chec doing what he did.
We have Perez who likes to get behind defenders as part of his natural game. So why have Le Coq doing it poorly?

I was never comfortable until we scored the third goal, and the fourth was an absolute cracker by Xhaka! Either they were tired, or saving themselves for the Tuesday game, but I thought they looked too laid back and passive at times and had no hunger to grab another goal. Maybe that was the game plan but it does make for the usual nail biting wondering what's going to happen and maybe giving it away again! I'm still full of hope though!

Stop saying that Coquelin is going up. That's clearly his new role in the team and has been playing it for the past 4/5 games. He's doing well there so get used to it.
