Arsenal grabbed an important three points after two straight defeats. Both goals came courtesy of Alexis Sanchez. Arsenal could have fell behind in the first half but Arsenal stepped it up around the half an hour mark but the win was far from comfortable.
Cech – 7 – Pulled off two notable saves but comfortable for a goalkeeper of his stature.
Bellerin – 6 - Attacked well and defended comfortably.
Mustafi – 6 – Defended well throughout and dealt with most things but the defence did look shaky.
Koscielny - 6 – Defended well in most cases but beaten two easy on several occasions.
Gibbs – 7 – One of Arsenal’s better players considering he was two against one on most occasions.
Oxlade-Chamberlain – 7 – Had a very good game in central midfield and tried to get Arsenal on the attack. His range of passing was impressive and made sure he dictated the game when he could.
Coquelin – 6 – Was busy when he needed to be but gave the ball away on too many occasions.
Walcott – 6 – Had a fairly quiet game but did look dangerous when around the Hull City Box.
Ӧzil – 6 – Not at his best but tried to make things happen all afternoon.
Iwobi – 7 – One of the danger men for Arsenal as he had the beating of the right back.
Sanchez – 8 - Arsenal’s best player by a mile. His attitude and desire stood out by wanting to win everything. Scored an important two goals.
Subs
Elneny – 6 – Came on to sure up the midfield and showed his energy which he is known for.
Perez – 6 – His header was cleared off the line which resulted in the penalty.
Welbeck – 6 – Won headers off Hull corners.
Overall, not the greatest game but the three points are the most important. Arsenal now face Bayern Munich in midweek which will be a much greater test. One thing for sure Arsenal will need to be tighter defensively.
