Mathieu Debuchy and Alexis Sanchez will be Arsenal players by the end of this week.

The French full-back is on the verge of completing his transfer from Newcastle to the Emirates for £10 million according to Sky Sports News and that transfer could be announced tomorrow (Wednesday) or Thursday, by the latest.

Double signing on the horizon

Meanwhile despite the Daily Star reporting that Sanchez could complete his transfer to north London today, that claim seems highly unlikely.

Star report that the Gunners have agreed a £30 million deal with Barcelona for the Chile forward and they believe that the transfer will be concluded imminently with the attacker in London for talks.

While Arsenal’s “media watch” is the worst thing associated with the club (apart from maybe this), it was useful to find a definitive list of all of the players Arsenal have been linked with since the season has ended.

Javi Martinez- Won’t come cheap

Diego- Just joined Fenerbache

Damiao- Linked to everyone

Benzema- Singing new contract

Arsenal are seemingly on the verge of completing the signing of two players that featured heavily in the 2014 World Cup.

As we revealed earlier today, France full back Mathieu Debuchy is close to joining the club after completing a medical last night.

Frenchman coming for £12 million

The Newcastle ace would move to the Emirates for around £12 million and would be the Gunners first choice right-back.

The deal would see Carl Jenkinson potentially move in the other direction on a season long loan and this transfer should certainly be completed this week.

Newcastle and France first choice full-back Mathieu Debuchy has edged closer to his big money move to Arsenal, after passing a full medical completed by the club last night.

Medical Man

The Daily Star report the news of the medical alongside the news that Debuchy could be announced as a Gunner by the end of today, a fee of £12 million being agreed for the World Cup quarter-finalist between the Premier League clubs.

Italian club Fiorentina have rejected Arsenal’s offer for star winger Juan Cuadrado, after the Gunners attempted to hijack Manchester United’s movements for the Columbian World Cup star.

Contingency Cuadrado

The Express speculate that Arsène Wenger is keen to have a contingency plan in place, just in case main transfer target Alexis Sanchez decides to pull out of a deal that would see him arrive at the Emirates this summer.

With Cuadrado shining at the World Cup finals in the past month, his valuation has increased dramatically more than the £22 million that the Gunners have offered Fiorentina for their main man.
