Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No… it’s the hopes of a big summer signing flying away into the distance.

The dreams that us Gooners had of bringing in a big named star, a £30million+ man, look to be over.

So what do you guys think about it? As usual, the world of football took to social media to voice their opinion on what has been a ridiculously unfruitful transfer window…

@piersmorgan “I'm so angry at this latest #Suarez news that I've bitten my own arm off. So a win-win for Liverpool fans, congrats. #afc”

@_MasonGunner_ “ If no Suarez then who's next?  Dzecko? Benzema? #AFC #Arsenal”

@ghostbiggie “Well here's my opinion on Suarez *blows raspberries for 10 minutes*”

@Owen24394 “Suarez get the hell out of our club you little w*nker, don't try and worm out of it now... Piano teeth nob #Liverpool #Suarez #Transfers”

@PeterArsenalMH “Suarez is a racist prick iv never wanted him anyway”

@Jakemills1 “Suarez is a PR nightmare. I hope kids don't now rush out to get his name on their shirts.”

@WoahItsJames “Suarez must of really hated Downing”

@Maria_Menc “So Suarez is not coming to #afc after all.... surprise surprise, Wenger better pull his finger out his arse thats all i am saying!! #great”

@Gunners_passion “Michu to AFC instead of Suarez? I am for”

@mikedandy “Was Suarez using #AFC to encourage RM’s bid? How AW & co didn’t see that?   They left Higuain to invest in a strange & unstable character”

@RockStar_Gunner “Some #LFC fans seem to think they've won a battle by us not getting #Suarez. It's ok guys.. You'll still finish 7th anyway. #Afc”

@emekakenneth1 “Can we now make a bid for Samual Etoo or Demba Ba. We have fantasize enough with hope of signing Jovetic, Higuain, and now Suarez. #AFC”

@stephendpundit “If it were Real Madrid Suarez wouldn't have even contemplated a U+turn”

Finishing 4th without Suarez > Finishing 7th with Suarez

Even if Suarez stays, I don't see much reason for celebration from Liverpool fans when your best player is clearly very unhappy at the club.

Guys... have a little faith.
Did we all not watch the same preseason games?

Of coz everybody knows that brendan rodgers lied to suarez-but he doesnt want to admit it-too much of verbal assurances and twisting of the contract to save the scousers-everyone knows liverpool is far away from champions league football-they have to overcome everton then the spuds before they can think that they are at the same level as arsenal.Tired of hearing their 70 and 80,s history-its gone-they will never retain any top player-fernando gone and suarez is definitley going soon-even if they refuse to sell him to arsenal it makes no difference to liverpool-they will still fail to qualify for champions league then he goes-arsenal will still be above them.Silly scousers-loosers

To be honest arsene and arsenal are too slow in the market-too much hesitation

It is very hard to stomach with such soggy stance, today yes, tommorow no? It is not healthy psychology. Get a man with a firm heart for Arsenal. Go get a "MAN" not a "BOY"

The bit that made me laugh is the way Suarez is going to renew his contract at Liverpool, when he damn well knows he is never going to get Champions League Football playing for the Scousers !!

What's more disappointing is the pathetic transfer strategy Arsenal employ. Three days before the season and not a penny spent. Is this a case of incompetence amongst our board/manager, or do TOP players not want to come ot Arsenal. All this posturing of having a fat wallet has netted zero quality players, and could possibly hamper any serious title challenge we may have been able to muster. Tired of this approach...it's the same crap every transfer period. Fans don't care about balance sheets we want to see trophies and quality players, don't know if I'm going to see this at the Emirates. The arrogance of Wenger to do things his way may be his undoing.

I don't believe the American journalist he must be a friend of Henry Ford he claims a South American journalist told him this info, wow! If he was staying he would easily say he is instead of not commenting and it's funny how this has come out at the same time as suarez is not speaking on the matter. I think there is too much animosity from suarez as he feels he has been lied too by his club and to make things worse has been told to apologise while being threatened to be left in the reserves. I think Henry ford and Liverpool are trying every trick in the book to desperately keep hold of a player who is not changing his mind about leaving. Now cavani who is a reliable source as he is a friend of suarez is saying another thing. For me this story is a load of crap and is an attempt by LFC to quiet the situation down. Wenger is still after him and there must be a reason why he is not giving up on him.

To be honest, I couldn't give a flying *** anymore. Wenger has proved his complete incompitance during this transfer window and I shall gladly wave him goodbye on his way to Paris next year. Let's get someone in who knows what he is doing instead of a man who is making this club look like mugs.

What makes me laugh is how everyone treats this one alleged quote as gospel, y
I'll take the current reports with a pinch of salt, until Suarez makes an official statement.

I can clearly remember last year Dutch journalists with supposed close links to Van Persie stating he wants to stay at Arsenal.

Spending over £40m on a player with Suarez's track record is likely to put off Wenger from ever spending big money again.

Suarez started his want away antics with statements to the same source in Uruguay that these latest ones come from.
Tbh, I'm struggling to recall when Wenger ever spent big money ,caQuoting jeff wright:

Read it through again. The Suarez deal (big money) would put him off from ever attempting another big money deal again. Enlightened?

[quote name="Dana"]What a relief, I was dreading that little scumbag coming to our club. How well you can kick a ball shouldn't suddenly make it okay to be a despicable human being. Hopefully our association with him hasn't destroyed our reputation too much.

What makes me laugh is how everyone treats this one alleged quote as gospel, yet when the other South American journalists report Bernard is going to Arsenal it's all lies.

I'll take the current reports with a pinch of salt, until Suarez makes an official statement.

Suarez is always an accident waiting to happen. Higuain is the striker we should have signed, with Villa being a backup option. Spending over £40m on a player with Suarez's track record is likely to put off Wenger from ever spending big money again.

Lets get this straight Suarez states b4 the international lm not talking about a transfer while away on international duty then promptly talks to a journalist who then tweets it.
Also was this the same south American journalist who tweeted that Higuian was on his way for a medical at Arsenal
