Premier League leaders Arsenal travel to the Hawthorns to face mid-table West Bromwich Albion for Sunday’s 4pm kick-off.

Arsène Wenger spoke to Arsenal Player today to provide an update on the injury front following Tuesday night’s Champions League tie against Napoli.

Wenger said:

“The only uncertainty we have could be Bacary Sagna who had a little hamstring problem. He has a scan today [Thursday] and from then on we will assess his situation. Everybody else came out of the Napoli game without a major problem so they should all be available.”

Wenger, however, confirmed that Santi Cazorla (ankle injury) and Yaya Sanogo (back injury) would not be fit for Sunday and would not be in contention until after the imminent international break.

Lukas Podolski, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Abou Diaby and Theo Walcott also remain in the treatment room for the time being.

Fans may question the extent of Cazorla’s injury and wonder whether Wenger might just be slightly over-egging the pudding to ensure that the midfielder is not selected by Spain for international duty next week. Managerial kidology is far from a rarity in the days leading up to an international week.

We will certainly be relishing the pairing of a fit and refreshed Cazorla with record signing Mesut Özil in midfield. We also have the prospect of seeing Özil paired with his German international teammate Lukas Podolski—a fruitful partnership at international level—when the latter eventually returns from injury.

The real fans supported the Club through this. You have to look at where we are now, a new stadium , a strong squad, champions league football and money to spend.. All the bull*** about a trophy is just rubbish. We are now set to have long term success. I applaud Wenger and the club. Look at Liverpool , they have won a trophy (2005) but have fallen to where they can't attract a top player anymore. In Wenger we trust

Where are the huge amount of Arsenal fans calling for Wenger to be sacked from last season and after the Villa defeat? Where are all the blogs saying Arsenal are in crisis and Wenger is tactically inept, lost the plot and only cares about his bank balance? Where are all the Arsenal fans moaning everyday about the lack of spending at the club? Terrible, terrible, fickle FANS!!!!
