Schalke 04 wonderkid Julian Draxler has revealed there is no chance of him making the move away from Germany in January.

Draxler, who came on in the last half an hour at Wembley as his German side triumphed 1-0 over England, became the youngest Schalke player to make 100 appearances back in March, and already has 4 goals in his 18 appearances this season.

No winter move for Julian

He was a target for Arsenal in the summer, however any deal was scratched with the signing of Germany teammate Mesut Ozil for huge money on deadline day.

The 20-year-old is supposedly choosing between Manchester United and Arsenal for his next club – but refuses to think about moving before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

"For my club, I have the chance to play nearly every game, it is important for me to improve myself," he said.

"I have said every summer I have to look what is the best for me and I will do in the summer again and we will see what happens.

"But no way. I won't switch then (in January)."

Draxler faces as much competition as anybody to get on the plane to Rio, being part of one of the most abundant midfield units on World football with the Germans.

With players such as Tony Kroos, Mario Gotze and Lars Bender vying for his attacking midfield spot, not to mention our very own Mesut Ozil, Draxler faces a massive task if he is to get on the pitch in South America.

National ties

Despite rubbishing talks of a winter move, Draxler has remained open about his future with regards to a summer move.

And it is fellow countrymen Per Mertesacker – who scored the winner at Wembley – and Mesut Ozil – who keeps Draxler out of the side – who are enticing the youngster to the North London:

"I have always said English teams are very big clubs and Arsenal is of course one of them.”

"Of course, I sometimes speak to Mesut or Per about the team, about the club, and they always have good words and they tell me nice things.”

"You never know what happens in the summer, but Arsenal is a very, very nice team.”

"They always have very young players, they play attractive football and that is what I like.”

"But I better not speak too much about it because tomorrow I can read in the (English) newspapers that I like to play for Arsenal - I think the people at Schalke would not like to hear that."
