Although it was reported yesterday that it seemed a deal to take the Montenegro forward on loan was all but finalised, it appears today that the deal is now off.

Heading to Spain?

With the Juventus striker seemingly on his way to North London, Spanish club Valencia subsequently showed their interest in bringing the player to La Liga.

With Valencia striker Helder Postiga agreeing a deal to leave the club and move to Lazio, the Spanish side had turned their full attention to Vucinic, who was poised to move to Inter Milan last week, before the deal collapsed.

Despite the interest from Spain, earlier reports noted that Vucinic had told his agent that he wished to move to Arsenal, with his agent then trying to convince the gunners that the Montenegro international is the man they need to bolster their attack.

Further developments have now signalled that the deal is off.

No deal

Although the player and agent had reportedly both expressed their interest in the proposed loan move, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had strenuously denied that the player was moving to the Emirates.

However, with this statement it looked as though Wenger could be trying to play a bluff, and that a move for the forward could be on the cards.

However, this deal would appear to now be completely off with new reports emerging that Vucinic has rejected both Arsenal and Valencia and wishes his intent to stay at Juventus.

With the Vucinic deal off, Arsenal fans will be hoping that the club now decided to fully pursue their interest in Julian Draxler.
