Morning papers believe Arsenal will target the 35-year-old striker if they can’t secure the transfer of Draxler.

A move for Klose would be a short-term deal and would link the experienced German international with the various other Germans at the Emirates.

The Lazio striker is one of a number of names that have been linked with a move to Arsenal, another that was strongly speculated midway through the window was Dimitar Berbatov.

The Bulgarian has been linked with a move back to Tottenham but if we were to make a late move for him, there would be no doubt he would choose a title challenge and Champions League football over a top four battle.

Wenger has previously said Berbatov isn’t a target and there are suggestions inside the club that they wouldn’t want to bring someone with his attitude in, especially with the excellent spirit of the current squad.

However, with uncertainty over the Draxler deal maybe Wenger will be forced to move for either Klose or Berbatov.

The striker who suits weLl for arsenal is neither berba or klose.it would be something understandable if they wud manage to convince mourinho to sell Demba Ba coz he has all the x-tics needed to finish on top of premier league....

It doesn't matter who we think, Wonga will not bring any of these two in,Arsene Wenger is very comfortable with Nicklas Bendtner backing up Olivier Giroud to finish out the season. He is selling us up the river again.

Wenger is Just hopeless! He keeps talking of quality players and in the end, he buys very average players. This has happened over the seasons...Apart from recent Ozil which player bought is more qualitative than those sold! Frebregas, Piesie, Song,cliche etc! Well..let's just prepare our minds for another 3rd or 4th place finish!

pls, why do you have to do all these things, i wonder!!! you guys mine that Arsenal as a big club, don't have the aptitude of a champion bcos of just Wenger as one individual in his way of behaving. look at the type of materials others, e.i Man city, talk about! then in Arsenal you talk of Berbatov, forgotten player like Salomon Kalou... look, Wenger will one day finally go as nobody is a permanent person. by then we will be realised from the pathetic heartburn of Wenger
