The latest rumour which is being talked about is the potential signing of Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton.

Arsenal have been continually scouting Schneiderlin with the latest report coming on the last day of the season against Manchester United.

Schneiderlin would fill the defensive midfield role which is being looked at by Arsenal and would be the ideal replacement for Arteta. Schneiderlin would be perfect for Arsenal especially with him having premier league experience.

Southampton Turmoil

Schneiderlin played 36 times in the league last year scoring twice and has recently been put on the standby list for France. The 17m figure is being thrown around which means Arsenal would have to match that.

However, with Lallana and Shaw looking like they may move on then this may be the perfect opportunity to strike especially with the potential departure of Saints manager Pochettino.

Schneiderlin signed a new deal at Southampton last year which means he is there until 2017.

Arsenal will face competition from Napoli which means Arsenal will need to act now and not wait around.

Morgan ***derlin why? someone like Pogba yes, and if Wenger had handled and or groomed Frimpong correctly he could has been the perfect fit, he broke his spirit instead. Wenger cannot or afraid to rotate players not wanting to upset them due to playing time, every player cannot and should not play every game in this modern-day hectic schedule, that's why big squads are on top.

There is no turmoil at Southampton, it's all in the mind of the press for some reason, they seem hell-bent on breaking Southampton up but it's not going to happen
