News broke at 4.00PM that Barcelona have told Cesc Fabregas he can leave. This is all according to Sky Sources however; this is now being reported by the Telegraph.

It is of their understanding that Fabregas has been offered to Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.  Sky sources are also saying that he is expected to return to the Premier League.

This now means that it is decision time for Arsenal because they have the first refusal clause as well as the buy back. We know that Wenger is in constant contact with Fabregas and spoke about it last summer:

“We have a clause in the contract so we would be on alert but, at the moment, that’s not something we’re after.”

However, this has not stopped Wenger before especially when many considered we didn’t need Ӧzil which mean Arsenal could buy Fabregas anyway.

When Wenger was asked last year about a return he told the Mail the following;

"I am very happy that a player of his intelligence, technical ability and knowledge of the game would come back one day," said Wenger.

"I hope he is right on the two sides," added Wenger. "That he'll come back shows he has kept fond memories of this club."

It is also public knowledge that Fabregas has said himself he would only return to Arsenal if he was to leave Barcelona.

I would take Fabregas back in an instance because he would add depth and also provide more depth. Moreover, Wilshere was at his best when Fabregas was at the club and would allow rotation and allows us to compete on four fronts not to forget he will add more goals.

If Fabregas fulfils his promise by only playing for Arsenal when leaving Barcelona then we will be welcoming our prodigy back.

Will the father and son be reunited?

WTF not bring him back? to let him go to our rivals is madness, surly we can accommodate him in the team.

As far as I'm concerned, the Remy and Aurier deals are as good as done. I would figure those two to cost around 20-25. This would leave us with a reported 75 mil at the least. I believe we can get a decent GK for free to back up Szczney. This would leave us with that 75 mil to sign a DM. Figure we really bring in a quality player there for around 4 mil. That leaves us with 35 mil. I would bring in Cesc with that money. If we end up going for schneidrlan at DM we could get him for around 20 mil. Leaving us with 55 mil left over. With enough to bring in Cesc and another left winger. I just can't find in any circumstances a situation where we wouldn't have the money to bring in Cesc. I can't understand why anybody can be opposin the idea.

Arsenal is Man Cities training facility. It would be nice for Cesc to join and reunite with his previous Arsenal club mates there, to win the trophies Arsenal SHOULD be winning.

This is a no brainer. Cesc shall come back to his real home where he is appreciated. I know this type of player is not what should be the first priority on the market. But no Arsenal fan would allow this guy go to ManU, City or Chelsea. Much worse than Van Persie to ManU or Nasri to City. Cesc is the symbol of Arsenal's new playing style and the argument about Arsenal needing depth in the squad because of injuries over the season seems like a fair reason for him to come back.

why would we lose anyone if we hadnt won the fa cup then yeah sure we may of lost more people, but tbh if cesc is as good as his word then the other clubs dont stand a chance and he will finally return to arsenal

Liston, apart from Cesc being a must have why should we lose anybody? with our injury record this past season has shown there's room for everyone. Imagine the look on opposition faces, "Wiltshire/Ramsey hurt and on comes Fabregas to replace" now that's strength in depth. C'mon Fab4 you know you want to, sign!

Arsenal needs strikers not creative midfielders. If Cesc comes then surely someone will be leaving and I hope it's not Ramsey
