Over the last week, news has spread that ex Man City and current AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli is Arsenal’s main transfer target this summer.

Today there is an update, according to reports Balotelli will be offered £180,000 a week which will improve his current £150,000 a week contract at Milan.

With Mario’s sponsors being Puma, it seems that Arsenal’s new kit sponsors may help to push a move for the Italian.

Plan B

After watching Mario Mandzukic destroy 10-man Cameroon last night with 2 goals, it seems that Arsene Wenger will look to agree a deal with Bayern Munich for the Croatian striker as a backup plan in case the move for Balotelli falls through.

With Mandzukic and Guardiola not having the best relationship he is now allowed to leave Bayern for cheap and we all know Wenger loves a bargain.

Therefore don’t be surprised to see one of these strikers in Arsenal red next season.

I think balotelli is the right player(striker) for arsenal . Wenger should go for him now, he will perfectly fit in to the team and give us what we want.He is a great striker, one of the best in the world. i welcome in AFC.

No one is saying Giroud isn't a great player. But what we have been lacking is something different that we have missed from the days of Henry. Yes ok there is alot of speculation and rumour, but what I have seen on here is people giving an opinion, it my not even happen, but would I like to see it happen? Yes! But althought we scraped a win for the FA cup last season, can you say that this squad, unchanged, is going to challenge for the premier league title? I don't think it can, plus the 'speculation' that Vermalen is off and Cazorla, we've just lost Sagna, so the squad needs boosting, and we are a fantastic club with a great history, we may not have the budgets of Chelsea, Man City & Real Madrid, but does that mean we can't challenge for world class players? I for one am going to continue to hope that Wenger finally gives us a few world class additions to our squad and I am going to continue to give my 'opinion' on whatever may be speculated and rumoured in the press.

It is actually funny that we arsenal fans are the one fueling all the transfer nonsense that this cut & paste newspapers are floating around...Arsene Wenger didn't say he wanted to sign Mario or Manduzic or even Cavani 9to me, Giroud is better) So y get ourselves in a twist over that?

Would personally love to see Balotelli at AFC, I think Wenger is the right man to keep him 'under control' a great talent and think he would suit our style of play and offer us something different in a player that can collect the ball and run at defences, hold up the ball and turn and shoot at goal with a devestating shot, he knows the premier league and I would definitely be up to try anything even someone as controversial as Super Mario.....
