Arsenal pursuit of Alexis Sanchez has received some bad news as it was confirmed that various clubs have made offers for the Chile superstar.

The Barcelona man enjoyed an excellent World Cup and was undoubtedly one of the stars of the tournament, demonstrated with the sadness Chile and Sanchez’s exit last Saturday received.

Now that the attacker is free from international duty a transfer away from the Camp Nou can start to take place.

Liverpool linked also

Arsenal and Liverpool have both been strongly linked with a move and teams have made offers, although Barcelona chief Andoni Zubizarreta wouldn’t reveal which teams.

The Metro quoted Zubizarreta, he said:

“Regarding the future of Alexis Sanchez, there have been offers for the player.

“I do not know how it will all end – we are looking for a solution which will be best for everyone.”

As aforementioned, Sanchez has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League and it was revealed by Spanish newspaper Sport that he would love to play in the Premier League.

Manchester City favourites?

A worry for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal though is the increasing link with Manchester City because they would almost certainly have the upper hand over the Gunners and other Premier League clubs.

Goal.com report that the Manchester club have asked Barcelona to keep them up to date with Sanchez’s situation.

And with the Etihad boss Manuel Pellegrini being from Sanchez’s native Chile, the Premier League champions could have the upper hand on Arsenal and others chasing the signature of the Barcelona man.

It seems Sanchez may be involved in the biggest transfer saga this summer, lets just hope he ends up at the Emirates and not scoring against Arsenal.
