The much talked transfers of Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy may be coming to an end. It is believed that Arsenal are close to both and David Ornstein has now given us an update via Twitter.

Arsenal in talks to sign Sanchez & Debuchy. AS complicated by #FCB Suarez move but #AFC confident. MD advanced but no fee agreed #LFC #NUFC

Arsenal still in market for other targets, primarily holding midfielder & back-up goalkeeper, but Sanchez & Debuchy current priorities #AFC

This shows that Arsenal are working and confident. Sanchez will add pace and power to this Arsenal side which will benefit players like Ӧzil, Ramsey and Giroud. Debuchy will provide experience at right back as well as being a mentor to the younger right backs.

John Cross summed this up brilliantly this morning on twitter about these two potential deals;

“If Arsenal complete deals on Sanchez and Debuchy it will have been superb window. If they can add holding/mid they can win title #ambition”

All we can do is wait now and hope that Arsenal can get these two deals over the line.

Sanchez and debuchy are, good buys.
Arsenal still need a): holding midfield player, and all
Round striker though. (And, 1 or 2, back up strikers.)
Wenger, needs to); bolster and strengthen his team.
(And very quickly).

Even if we sign these to vidal and any keeper you want I'm still not seeing a squad capable of challenging, also wondering if wenger intends to spend any of our budget or just hopes to sneak by with only spending what he has made this window cause even with sanchez and debuchy(may as well have given sagna contract) we still have 90 odd million left of our reported initial 100 + vela + fabregas + whatever else that was additional! Sanchez is not the big signing or the front man arsenal require! Typical wenger can't look beyond the wings, deffo will become a birdwatcher when he retires
