Arsenal are determined to beat Manchester City to the signing of Monaco centre forward Radamel Falcao. It is believed that Arsenal first contacted Falcao’s representatives on Friday.

Arsenal were quoted a loan fee of £8.5 million and £10.4 million for his wages. The only concern with the deal is that Arsenal think he may already have a deal with Manchester City.  This would be a loan for the season.

Signing Falcao would be a statement of intent and would give this team believe.  Falcao is a natural goal scorer and would take this team forward.

Furthermore, the Guardian are reporting that Arsenal have been offered to sign him permanently for £55 million but in my opinion, that won’t happen which means a loan would be more likely.

However, after last year we know that anything is possible. Arsenal may go to the top of the list if Manchester City cannot free up enough finances to make the deal happen, however, this is being dealt with by City as it looking like Negredo maybe going to Valencia on loan.

There is one thing for sure this deal will go down to the wire and Falcao’s agent Jorge Mendes does like to make a deal, that’s for sure.
