Arsenal fans might want to look away from their screens either on social media or their sky sports channel because it doesn’t seem likely that the Gunners are going to bring in any reinforcements on deadline day.

Rumors have been flying around about a plethora of players from Radamel Falcao and William Carvalho all the way to brand new targets such as Marco Reus and Alvaro Negredo among others but it doesn’t seem like anyone new will be coming in and David Ornstein did mention this in his earlier tweet.

Although there have been conflicting reports from Jim White and Tancredi Palmeri stating that we will buy someone before the window shuts, right now it doesn’t seem too likely.

What does this mean for Arsenal’s season?

Most if not all Arsenal fans have been crying out for a striker and possibly a defensive midfielder. Looking at the entire picture now, it doesn’t seem like anyone new will be coming in.

Not signing anyone could be the sign that Arsenal and Arsene Wenger are content with challenging just for a top 4 spot and not for the premier league title.

Last season, Arsenal were inspired by the new record signing of Mesut Ozil and they got their season running by spending most of the first half of the season on top of the table. This time around, it does not look like happening.

Wait, Watch and Hope

Although a signing does not look imminent at the moment, we all know how matters can change on deadline day. All Arsenal fans will be hoping that Arsene can win and win big in his game of poker but at the moment, it looks like they are about to fold.

Although most Arsenal fans are getting anxious and feeling anger towards the club for not securing deals quicker, the call from me would be to just stay patient and wait until that 11pm bell strikes and then give our judgements.

Now for sure we will be at the bottom half. Where is the needed defender? Where is the defensive mid? And who is our striker? We only have wingers not strikers. Sorry but I dont count Sonogo, as he is rubbish. Every other club in premier league gas at least one decent striker, if not two. I haven't been as frustrated as im now. Wenger you must go. We are enough of philosophy, we want trophies.

Arsenal fans!!! Lets start boycotting the matches to show the useless board we are in control. A stitch in time.......

you Arsenal fans insulting Arsene probably would like to see Mourinho as manager, or to waste money like Man Utd buying useless players at every corner. Only with Arsene we can have belief beyond any defeat or denial, and we can have the greatest reward in the end.

it not surprising to me that arsenal are what they are, i always know that we are a team who select players for other team to buy. let hope wenger knows wat his doing

yes let's kick out the shame less manager who is paid by our expensive ticket. we no longer need in emirates. For him money is more important than fans..he has no care for the joy of gunner fans... We Want Trophy, not rotten Manager.

Good medium term news with the fans finally seeing what I have seen since 2008 and eventually- hallelujah- turning on Wenger. The worse we do this season the more likely Wenger is to go, probably to resign before he is sacked. The long overdue sensible planning we deserve can only start once he is gone. A shame we won the cup as he would have resigned had we lost. Keep up the pressure on him and the board Gooners.

it is so funny to see A. Wenger trust Sanogo to lead arsenal attacking instead of Podosk or Campbell who are capable of thrilling other clubs difensive. May be nationality matter there in arsenal than ability
+2 #12 ant wenger 2014-09-01 19:28
the problem of wenger i think is nationality. He always wants to use french players even if are not good enough. Look at Giroud and Sanogo. The are are not capable of helping the club to chellenge for trophies due to their poor scoring ability but wenger keep defending them. Wenger fear that if he buy top striker his fellow frenchmen Sanogo and Giroud will lose their chance at Arsenal.

this season will be worst than how man u was last season due to lack of signing top cb, dm and top striker. All blame to A. Wenger whose tacticts and philosophies of leading arsenal are outdated and completely expired.

Man Utd not in the CL, only 2 pts in the EPL out of 3 games and in a matter of days they purchase Di Maria and Falcao, what a difference in stature between the two clubs .... Chelsea purchased Loic Remy as another striker, L'Pool purchased Balotelli, thank you Mr Wenger, you are happy with your 8M yearly and not ready to offer the same to a prolific striker for the fans and club to enjoy ..... fcuk you Wanker

This season is going to be our worst season so far with the way things are going on the final day. Wenger's ambition is only for the management praises not the fans.

Winger is simply turning this club into a joke . All he cares is how much profit he makes for bosses and what percentage he will pocket. He is using his early day success to milk the club and the fans. Time to say enough is enough.

So, with the transfer window fast closing, Arsenal has some lad called Yaya "Bendtner" Sanogo as the solitary available central striker. Arsenal has no back-up central defender, and no proper defensive midfielder! This is a club facing multiple fixtures, starting September 201, including grueling ones in a group of “death” in the Champions League. And as EPL managers with better squads are doing last minute deals to further strengthen, “Professor” Arsene Wenger boards a plane to Italy, for a bigger priority – i.e. officiating at some obscure soccer match! If this is not madness on the part of Wenger, it is raw idiocy. Arsene Wenger, like I have always insisted, is a con-man, at best, and an ASS-HOLE, a PENIS or a VAGINA at worst!
