Arsenal are targeting a January move for Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio. He has been linked with a big move to Manchester United in the last few months, but failed to make the switch. Now the Daily Mirror website is suggesting that the Gunners are ready to swoop in and tempt Juventus into selling. The Italian international turns 29 in January and has been born and raised in Turin.

According to the Daily Star website, Arsenal have set their asking price for striker Paulo Dybala. Scouts have been impressed by the kind of ability he has been showing, resulting in the South American star being linked with a move to Arsenal.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini told Italian Radio CRC that it would take a "mammoth offer" for him to consider selling Dybala.

He said, "They would have to pay 40 million to take him away from Palermo."

Arsenal faces Borussia Dortmund competition for Grzegorz Krychowiak. The 24-year-old Poland international is under Wenger's radar as he seeks to add heavyweight presence to his powderpuff midfield. The Pole only arrived at Sevilla this season, in the summer, from Reims.

AS Roma striker Mattia Destro has admitted he is appreciative with constant rumours linking his service to Arsenal. Speaking to Radio Roma, the 23-year-old, reportedly a £20 million bid from Wenger, said, "There's lots of rumours, they are good aren't they? It means you are doing well.".

Other names being linked with a move to Arsenal includes Sami Khedira, Aymeric Laporte, Christoph Kramer and Lars Bender. The Daily Mail have revealed that Sami Khedira doesn't intend to leave Real Madrid in January.

As on Laporte, according to The Mirror, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are hoping to bring the 20-year-old Frenchman to the Premier League in January.

While 23-year-old Kramer has revealed he would be open to a move away from Germany amid interest from Arsenal. Last but not least, Arsenal hopes to bring Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender to The Emirates for €30 million.

Who will want to join Arsenal now? Out of PL running, little chance of entering European league next year, possible out of champions league after Christmas, and morale low.
Time for Wenger to retire

Julious is exactly right ... the need for this team lies solely in the center if defense and at holding midfield. Both should have been taken care of before the season started.

Do not believe that another stoker is a priority at this point. We need strong powerful defenders, and a quality holding midfielder. Let's get our priorities right otherwise the spiral slope downward will continue.
In the meantime the board must look for a replacement for Wenger, this person should be installed along side Wenger for the remaining duration of his tenacity, not wait until Wenger calls it a day or is sacked. The lessons of Liverpool and Man U must be learnt.

Does Wenger really have the interest of Arsenal at heart? Sanchez is good but he is like a lone tree in the forest. He needs someone to complete his exploits. Welbec plays to the galary. Arsenal needs a good finisher. The defence department needs a Koscieny equally at the right, strong and solid not people who fall st the slightest touch. The goalkeeper is good but is usually rendered helpless when the defenders are either sleeping or suddenly fall as if they fasted before going into the field. In summary, players should be bought to strengthen the attack and defence departments. Thanks

Arsene Wenger prices every good player but buys none to go for rejects at the minute. It is either Wenger needs to change his attitude in bringing in good players or be changed. What is more important, Wenger or Arsenal? The Arsenal directors should examine critically the factors responsible for the downward trend in Arsenal performance. Surely with present performance 4th position may elude Arsenal if Wenger refuses to buy strong players by January.
