Reports are circulating that Arsenal are preparing a third bid for Legia Warsaw’s wonder kid Krystian Bielik. The fee is believed to be in the region of €3million (£2.3million). A hefty price tag for such a young player, but who exactly is this midfielder Wenger seems so desperate to sign?

Bielik was originally a Lech Poznan youth team player before making a switch to arch-rivals Legia Warsaw, much to the dismay of Poznan fans.

Bielik has risen to stardom in a very small period of time due to his immense ability and potential.

At 17, it seems as though the young midfielder is beginning to make inroads to becoming a regular starter at Legia. During the busy autumn period in the league, Bielik was given his chance to shine which he undoubtedly did, playing a full 90 minutes in a 2-0 victory. This performance has led to even more appearances for Bielik, something which can only do good for his development.

Wenger has been reported to say "I see a lot of potential in you," ,”age is not important, you will get a chance” when speaking to Bielik when he visited the club over the Christmas period.

This trip to England has made Bielik eager for a switch to the Emirates although does admit it is daunting:

“I confess that I am a little bit afraid,”, “but only a madman would have no concerns about what would be waiting ahead. You have to be confident, and I am sure of both myself and my abilities”.

Bielik may be just what Arsenal need in midfield. At 6ft 2in tall, he has a presence in the box and is also the exact type of holding midfielder the Gunners are craving. He has been commended for his distribution, being able to accomplish all kinds of passes comfortably, an attribute that would suit Arsenal well.

The only issue that lies with Bielik is his lack of experience. This is obvious with his age but can Arsenal really wait for this defensive midfielder for another few years, given their weakness this season?

It remains to be seen whether or not Arsenal’s newest bid will be accepted. Legia seem in no hurry to sell the midfielder and with Roma and Hamburg apparently interested, it may just start a bidding war.

I agree with both statements, we don't need no wonder kid we need someone now!!!!!! I posted when Wanyama was for sale at Celtic to lease buy him because we are weak in DM and defense. If arsenal were to buy 2 quality defenders and a good DM we have a good chance of winning more trophies. Since Wenger can't see this I think it's time for him to step aside

If I hear "young with potential" again - I will cry. Since when did Arsenal become a player development facility for Man City, Man U, and Chelsea. It seems thats the current ambition.

Oh yes, another wonder kid, just what we need,if Wengers so obsessed by wonder kids why don't he clear off and start his own academy and we can get a coach in who actually really does want to win something, the above comment is true, why didn't he take Wanyama from Celtic while he was cheap,?? Wenger is destroying any legacy he has with his arogance and ego,,,
