If certain sources are to be believed, it seems that Arsenal are very close or have even completed a deal for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha. The 20-year old English/Ivorian has set the Championship alight this season and attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United.

He's a Gooner

Despite this, Zaha is a childhood Arsenal fan and his twitter account reveals a number of tweets about how Arsenal are doing. He is also seemingly friends with fellow England U-21 international Benik Afobe, who is of course an Arsenal player on loan to Bolton.

This may have had a impact on his decision for his future, though outwardly Crystal Palace executives have stated he is not for sale.

Another kid?

A 20-year old, yes, but Zaha is widely acknowledged as the best player in the Championship and was recently described as 'looking like he was air-lifted in from a top Premier League team to play for Palace'. Obviously it's a lower level but just by watching him you can see how good he is already.

The obvious question is whether he's simply a replacement for Theo Walcott, which isn't ideal, but with Arsenal interested in Adrian Lopez it's possible he's half of the replacement (though the source for the deal @Established1886, who is also @AFCAMDEN has stated it's unrelated to the Walcott situation).

So, perhaps not exactly what Arsenal may need, though a 'true' winger would certainly help Giroud greatly now he's hit form.

Kid has some skill but looks over-rated to me! No way is he worth more than 12mil.Press hype him up because he's English. He's hardly the new Henry or Ronaldo.

If he has a football brain sign him up, Walnut sadly hasn't got one, we have waited long enough for Walnut to come up with the goods. Walnut will never make a striker, he fooks up on a one on one, time for him to stop playing football and concentrate on athletics.

Considering Walcott (or Walnut) as you so affectionately call him is both our leading goal scorer and goal provider this season despite hardly playing may I suggest that ALL of the Arsenal team give up and take up athletics.
That goes to show how poor we are when Walnut is the leading scorer and most of those goals came from playing against poor teams.

Why can we not have both Walcott is statistically exceptional. Front 3 of Zaha, Walcott, Ox with Podolski, Giroud off the bench?

Walcott must stay for Arsenal to mature, he is a game changer these days. Without him, Arsenal would be blunt. He is a good finisher and danger to the opponents.

We only need to add in more of Zaha from England to destroy others via pace

Theo is in the same league with Eden Hazard and we need him @ #Arsenal like yesterday.

Why would he want to come to Arsenal? Wenger would probably play him out of position, put him in the team when it's not tactically astute and destroy any confidence the lad was likely to get. Let him go somewhere he will have the support of good players around him who have learned from their manager to play more than one way.

To Arsene wenger he is a fool with the board and they will continue to remain a fool until arsenal football go back to championship rank. we are hearing so many player wegner is interested in them but at the end he will not sign any one of them he will go and get us 15 yr old boy. i don't blame you because you are not married that's why you are killing some families who love arsenal *** you better get out of the team if you have lost ideas you and your Shylock board members fr ken Nigeria

Zaha was amazing but he highly risk with injury because of his skills movement. Anyway I'm proudly to tell if he's moving in to Arsenal. But, Theo Walcott need to stay at Arsenal. Theo is a good winger. Zaha can play at winger and AMF position. That's great for Arsenal attacking.
