Wenger wants to sign three players in January, that’s right Arsene is keen on bolstering his squad, but what can we expect as Arsenal fans from this?

Well there have been a few links going around in recent weeks but over the last couple of days 1 story has picked up pace and...

Thierry Henry

What more can be said about the King? Club’s all-time leading goal scorer, club hero and all round Arsenal legend. His presence in and around Arsenal for however long it is will only have a big impact on our squad and youngsters, as it did last year.

Thierry does still have the ability to fill gaps when called upon but not necessarily starting every week.

This is a very real possibility as it has been spoken about by both parties and I think this would be a great signing for the club and can have a massive impact on Arsenal.

Mario Gotze

An on-running saga, but after the release clause in his new contract being reported as £30m Arsenal and Manchester United are apparently interested.

Gotze would be a great signing for Arsenal but realistically would it happen? We aren’t the type of club that forks out £30m in January for a player and that looks like we will lose out on a prodigious talent.

Gotze is adaptable and can play from either flank and in the position Santi has made his own since arriving. Gotze would fit in ideally in the Arsenal set up and is much, much better than Arshavin and Gervinho. Disappointingly, it seems we are as likely to get him as we are to get Holtby.

Alessandro Matri

A new name is being thrown into the hat for strikers that the club are interested in bringing in January, but why Matri?

Matri was top scorer as he helped fire Juventus to the Serie A title last season, but so far this year is finding himself a fringe player. Matri would be a snip at £7m and at the age of 28 still has 4-5 years at the top level; this means it would be a great deal for a player that so clearly has an eye for goal.

Matri would be a realistic option for Arsenal as he is going on the cheap for a goal scorer and is of the right style and build to give Arsenal a valuable different option up front to Olivier Giroud, despite the Frenchman finding his form.

the best transfer that could ever happen is replacing stan kroenke and all the stuff that doesn't want to put serious moneys on the club .Moneys are the key!!!!!!!

Not replace Giroud, support. But if Walcott did go, Zaha or Tom Ince.
Prodigious is what I meant yeah. Sounded the same in my head, and spell check didn't flag it up so went with it lol I really hope we can get 2 outa 3 if not all 3 cos they'd all add to the squad.
Retaining Theo and Jack should be a priority giving they can be the future of the club. But we need 3 or 4 quality signings.

by the sound of things. we could be getting what we've been waiting for for a long time. but really the way things have turned out what are the chances of him (Wenger) spending 30 mil on a single player. i dont want to be negative towards my team (Arsenal), but sometimes you just need to be honest. players like Theo and Sagna are reckoned to be on their way out, and yet some people still have faith in Wenger should this happen. i respect him yes, but believe times up. we lost all our best players, 13 pts behind log leaders, and having the worst start to a season under Wenger. the players we have are good, but it seems they dont want to play under Wenger, because they not playing the best they can. But enough about Wenger, i think we should focus on defence more than attack. we need a new left-back and possibly a right-back, and maybe a new gk. Baines, LB (Everton) and Vorm, GK (Swansea) would be my choice. but we could use with another CF, Henry the king is most welcome and someone else with experience and has a keen eye for goal. lets just hope Theo stays put, he's got alot to give and he's really useful for this team. should he leave, i would love to see Gotze here but to be realistic, i'd say a good replacement for Theo would be Zaha (Crystal Palace). both about the same age, good pace, can finish, , and energetic. but Zaha is bigger and can take on players can deliver crosses in better than Theo i think and that would be useful for players like Giroud. so its all up to Wenger what happens, lets just hope he makes the right decisions and make us stronger than we are now. I think whoever wrote this article meant prodigious talent when referring to Gotze. Yes we do need to strengthen with quality players, and as has been said before equally more importantly we need to shed the dead wood. We need to retain Theo & Jack as well as buy 3 GOOD players. If we can also tempt Lord Henry back as an impact sub and presence in the dressing room that can only be good. But please no more bargain basement players from minor continental teams, for every Henry and Viera AW has bought two or three Chemaka's or Squillachi's
