Sevilla and Spain striker Alvaro Negredo has confessed he would love to move to England, leading to speculation he could be set for a move to Arsenal, Spurs or Newcastle.

The striker recently gave in interview in which he expressed his enthusiasm for playing in the Premier League.

‘The Premier League is a great competition, I really like it and I think my style of football would be well-suited to it,’

‘There comes a time when a cycle comes to an end and I don’t know whether my time will be sooner or later. I haven’t thought about it a lot but I wouldn’t mind playing abroad.’

‘I’ve spoken to the guys playing in England, mainly when we were together at Euro 2012 because we had a lot of free time, I spoke to Mata and Torres and I know they really enjoy it.

Should've spoken to Cazorla, Alvaro.

‘They have a different way of experiencing football over there compared with Spain. The players say it is easier to go out and about there. Here, it is quite difficult to leave the house but they say there is not as much scrutiny in England, and I like that.’

Sevilla have financial problems, and this could lead to Negredo leaving for far less than the 18m touted by Sevilla to secure his services.

Something's afoot

What's more, today the president of Sevilla confirmed he was travelling to London to negotiate Negredo's sale. Which club is unknown, but the most likely candidates would be Arsenal or Spurs.

Negredo is similar in style to Giroud, and in Spur's case Adebayor, but he has a good goalscoring record and would be a fine addition to most top-six squads.

Arsenal haven't been linked a lot, but there could be a surprise afoot.

Can't see it being QPR and AVB has said he is on interested in signing a striker in the January window. So let's hope he is signing for us because we do need more fire power.

If Wenger puts himself in the transfer window he could bid for himself and save somebody the transfer money. His usual ploy is that he just signed 2 new players when players comeback from injury or with a new contract. Diaby the one game wonder always recuperates when the transfer window opens

Wenger may not buy anyone in the tw. Be prepared for this. He could could confound his critics by finishing third/fourth. It's a long shot and could could backfire .

Negredo, Ba and Giroud are cast from the same mould. It would be foolhardy to sign that kind of player now. Please prioritize.
